Cooking Cornish hen without an oven???

Is it possible to slow cook a cornish hen on the stove top? My oven doesnt work and im thinking i could let it slow cook (like a stew?) Is this possible???

I would think you could. You would need to put water in the bottom so it didnt burn, and maybe put some vegetables in or something to help distribute the heat around alittle more evenly.

My mom has a Nesco over which is basically a pan with a lid, and a heating element, and it makes amazing roasts!

How about trying it in a crockpot? I just did a chicken in mine this weekend and it turned out pretty darned good.
