Can these rooms be requested? What views are they and are they a long walk from the lobby? Thanks

If you are asking about the standard view 1br villas nearest path alongside canal - facing towards bridge of BW main entrance road then yes these villas are among those that are longest distance to elevators/lobby.

You can request specific room numbers but it is better idea to request by location listing what is most important to you first such as : upper floor/corner of building closest to canal/facing bus stop-bridge) If you ask for particular room numbers & they are unavailable then CMs will have less info on what it is you are hoping for.

Hope this helps a bit :goodvibes

I was lucky to get it without requesting it. However, the next time I requested it and ended up down near Jellyrolls!

Thanks. I don't know where they are located, but it's the larger 1 BR with the wrap around balcony. I saw a youtube video of one and it looks very large and nice.

There are definitely some in the location I mentioned above. I'm not 100% sure if there are some with extended balconies where DebbieB mentions by Jelly Rolls or if there may be some in other areas of BWV too.

Good luck :goodvibes

No extended balconies by Jellyrolls. I was just trying to point out that I requested the corner room by the pond and ended up as far away as possible from it.

omigosh they really stretched the definition of your request that time

OP, this is a one bedroom STANDARD view dedicated. So first off, you need to have a reservation for a standard view. And yes, you can request it. I did! Did I get it? Nope. I asked for 2123, 3123, 4123. I got 2125. When I asked upon checkin if I got my request, the CM said "no", but you're next's door to it....big whoop! So, yes, you can certainly ask, but don't get your hopes up.

DebbieB and I share the same affliction....we seldom ever get any requests. My favorite one is the year I asked if my daughter and I could be near each other. Well we were on the same floor, but as far away as possible. While she was near the exit door close to DHS (near tennis court), I too was near an exit door, but mine came out to the dumpsters near jellyrolls. We would come out our exit door and walk pass the main pool, go around the building, and then pass the quiet pool to catch up with them in their room. There was no way we could've been any further apart. I think the room assigner at the BWV gets pleasure out of given us the opposite of what we ask for.

I share that affliction as well. If I ask for top floor, I find out how nice it is not to have to take an elevator or stairs to the pool. If I want close to the lobby, I find out how convienent it is to be across from the bus stop.

Other people have better luck. They ask for those "123" rooms and get them. They ask for Village Green and get that. I can't even manage "top floor."

There are only a few of those rooms. One has to be vacant on your check in day and available. And you have to have a Standard View One Bedroom - because they are all in that class. It doesn't hurt to ask, but I wouldn't anticipate the request being met - if it does, then great!

I agree with n2mm and crisi. I once had BWV points transferred into my account to guarantee a BW view for DH and I, requested upper floor, and you guessed it -- got first floor down by the DVC rooms. Oh well...

Thanks everyone for the info. I have a Pool/garden view 1 BR booked so I can't request it anyway.

I don't feel too bad now knowing that I'm not alone in not getting requests. I use to think the room assigner would give me the opposite just for their own amusement! I guess I'll find out again in about 6 weeks. We are heading down for May 2 for 2 weeks and my daughter and family arrive the following weekend. We both have a standard studios, so we'll at least be in the same side of the building. MS did have it noted on our reservation that we are traveling with another family....we'll see!

We were in 1027 a week ago. We made no requests, but loved our room. We were on an end and there was an exit door right outside our room. If we went left we were at the clown pool. If we went right and walked about 30 yards we could walk between Atlantic Dance Hall and Jellyrolls to get to the Boardwalk or cross the bridge and get to the Swolfin or B & YC. It was a 10 min walk to DHS or Epcot. I also preferred being on the first floor.

We were lucky to get one of these rooms ending in 123 a couple of weeks ago without requesting it. It was a standard points one bedroom. Our bad luck was only being there one night post cruise. It was absolutely huge.
