When I priced out our vacation for CSR it was $200 less than the other Mod resorts..Any idea why?
Is it not as nice as the others or what?

We never stayed there and never even went to check it out in our many vacations.

Any info on the resort would be most welcomed

We have 4 Adults and 2 Toddlers ages 1 & 2 visiting.
Oct 16-24th

Thx

Don't know why it is cheaper....it is usually the same, but it is a great resort. The only drawback that we found is that it is VERY LARGE and it does take quite a walk if you are a ways away from the main building. You can avoid going to the main building area though...the bus stops are very convenient to each section. We wouldn't hesitate to book CSR again.

CSR is a very beautiful, quiet, relaxing, peaceful resort with excellent bus service. It's centrally located, so it's a quick ride to all the parks.

As far as the $200 price difference, maybe the other moderate prices were for a preferred or waterview?:confused3

rie'smom is right, you should check out Buzz's CSR site, lots of info and pictures.:thumbsup2

Yes I'm thinking it was due to the view. CSR is beautiful resort and I would go for it if it were cheaper. :)

I'm currentyly here at CSR and it is great.... Great customer service.

If CSR is cheaper, I would take it in a heartbeat...it is a beautil resort. IMO, you cant go wrong with either CSR or CBR, so I would take the best rate =)

To me the only major difference in CSR vs. the other mod resorts is the food court. At CSR you must wait to be seated and do pay an automatic gratuity, whereas at the other food courts you seat yourself and there is no gratuity. There's also no Mickey waffles at CSR and the prices are a bit higher although the food is wonderful and a nicer variety than the other food courts. ---Kathy

Incorrect info, CSR does in fact have Mickey waffles and always have.

From allearsnet.com menu's...
Kids' Station
Mickey Waffle, topping and orange juice $4.50
Scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, muffin & orange juice $4.50

We were nervous to stay at CSR because we had never stayed at a moderate resort before. We loved it! We got lucky and got a room right near a bus stop. We didn't care about the longer walk to the main building because we never had to go there after we checked in (didn't need the food court or the store.) My kids loved the playground area behind the pool - we stayed there for a long time. (the pool is awesome too but it was too cold for us to swim that day) My girls also loved the hammocks around the lake - one of our nicest memories was when my husband was taking a nap with my son and the three of us girls lounged aorund in the hammocks after playing at the playground.

Other major differences besides just being seated and paying the 10% gratuity. The servers get take your drink order and get you refills, bus your table, bring condiments to your table if needed and coffee. You get cloth napkins and real silverware.

It really is the best of both worlds!! The food is delicious and the servers are soo nice. I think anyone who serves or busses tables should get a tip,so that's not a problem, especially because at CSR, they are very attentive!:)

CSR is an awesome resort! You will have a great time there. We have stayed at all the mods and this is our favorite. The bus transportation and location of the resort cannot be beat and the main pool and slide are the great. It is a large resort, but not that far of a walk anywhere or you can grab the internal shuttles or just ride the park bus around to the front. You can get food to go from the food court (Pepper Market) and the 10% gratuity is waived. The pool bar also serves some food like nachos, hot dogs, chicken tenders, etc.

We went for the first time this June and really enjoyed it. We had stayed at CBR previously. The buses at Coronado were frequent and rarely crowded. The Pepper Market was awesome, however we were on dining plan and the gratuity was not a concern. The pool was very cool, too... and if you had a mug you could get it refilled poolside rather than hiking all the way back to the main building. We'd certainly stay again. :thumbsup2
