I don't have a dustbuster but, I do have one of those Swivel Sweepers (It's like a flat broom thing that goes in any direction and can be used on floors or carpeting) and it's cordless. I like it for the kitchen but, not the bathroom floors and it's just o.k. on carpet but, not for anything more than surface cleaning. I have long hair (a little longer than mid back) and my DD also has hair that is long (shorter than mine), the problem with the Swivel Sweeper is that the hair gets tangled around the rotating bristles and is a pain to get off. The hair gets wound so tight on the rotating bristles that it has to be cut off with a scissor, the little tool thing they give you is useless. Any time that you would be saving by not hauling out the big vacuum for quick jobs may be lost because you have to spend it cleaning the rotating bristles. If the bristles don't get cleaned then the sweeper runs really slow.
