Ok, still trying to figure out what to do on our last night in Orlando after the cruise. DH and I looked at the different resorts, and even though I wanted AKL he thinks the Coranado Spring will be more fun, both for us and DGD. Can anyone give me any opinions.

I know that we will have to take the DCL transfer back to the airport then ME to the resort. What do you think?

I have only stayed at CSR not AKL, but what would be more fun than looking out your window at animals? And doesn't the Disney Cruise bus go direct to AKL? Sounds like a lot less hassle to go direct. CSR is ok. Nothing memorable except for the overpriced, under quality food at the food court. Glad to say I've stayed there, won't go back.

We've stayed at CSR and while it's nice (in our opinions) I would think that AKL would be a better pick since it's a deluxe. :flower:

I love CSR! Relaxing by the pool drinking some margaritas and having some nachos would work. Your DGD will love swimming in the pool and using the slide. CSR also has the largest hot tub on WDW property.

We love CSR too! Check out my website below for pics of the resort. I seconded the margaritas and nachos!!

At the end of May, we spent 8 days at AKL and 2 at CSR. Admittedly, dh and I had stayed at AKL before, so some of the novelty had worn off for us. We did expect our 3 children (12, 4, and 2.5) to be more impressed than they were. With the children along, we spent very, very little time in either our room or the resort. When we were at AKL and weren't sleeping, the kids were swimming. They did the same at CSR -- in a somewhat less crowded pool. If you've never visited AKL before, I think you really need to stay there at least once. After a couple of visits, we are ready to move on to other resorts. We enjoyed our 2 days at CSR every bit as much as AKL -- mainly because we didn't have the time to take advantage of all that AKL has to offer. When dh and I make a short trip without the kids at the end of July, we are going to give another moderate (POR) a try -- something we would not have considered prior to our stay at CSR.

I've stayed at AKL and CSR. I prefer CSR much more than AKL. I like that CSR has lots of space and a lovely lake. I would only go to AKL if you book a Savannah view room.

Having never stayed at AKL, I can't comment on it. We loved CSR though! The pool area and food court are fantastic! It really is a beautiful place. :flower:

I love CSR!!!! We have stayed there numerous times. Our kids love the pools there as well as the play areas. Hubby and I love taking a snooze in the hammocks by the lake. DS7 loves the arcade and the slide at the Pyramid Pool is his absolute favorite at any resort there. DS4 loves the Dig Site. This will be the first year in many we won't be staying at CSR (at least not yet unless we go back again before December for a weekend! :) ).

CSR is our favorite! Great theming, beautiful grounds, comfortable rooms, and great bus service! :)

Another vote for CSR for all the reasons listed above. I also like AKL but
you'll be paying double what you would for CSR. If you decide to stay at AKL though I would get a savannah room if you could.

yet another vote for CSR- its perfect. I sometimes thing to upgrade to AKL and than I think again...

I got CSR - a pool room for July 10 - I am so happy. I know since our trip July 3 - 10 is DCL that when the ship docks we will have to take the transportation back to the airport and then somehow arrange for ME to pick us up there, take us to the resort and return us in the morning, but I'm sure that is going to work out.

I can't explain how happy I am.

If you are taking a Disney Cruise, they *should* be able to take to directly to Disney, rather than the airport. If not, it would be worth getting a shuttle service instead of wasting lots of time on buses (given that ME seems to take much longer than one might initially expect!)
