Just booked a 3 night Disney Visa Package at Coronado Springs for 1st of November. Pool or Lake view.

What room/building should I request that is convient to bus stop and dining?

Any must see/do at CSR? Though I'll admit, we'll probably be spending a lot of time around Epcot, BW & MGM.

Thanks.

We were just at CSR a couple of weeks ago. We were in Cabana 9B, it was great! 9B is right next to the main building and is a short walk over to the Dig Site (pool) if you choose to go there. Also, a quick walk to Bus Stop #1.

I would highly recommend this building, it was nice to walk out our door and see the sandy beaches with the hammocks... aaahhh!!! wish I were still there!

I agree, that is the area we stayed in a few years ago and it was very convenient to everything. It was also our favorite themed area of the resort.

:bounce: :bounce:

I love this resort!!! you will be thrilled. I think it is the best kept secret at WDW, feeling much like a deluxe (and i have stayed at 5 of the deluxe resorts). I like 8b as is close to bus stop, pool and just across the bridge to El Centro. Enjoy!

Everyone requests 9B so chances are it will be harder to get. There are other areas of the resort that are just as nice. Casita 1 is quite close to El Centro and Bus Stop #1. We were just in Casita #3 and it was only a 2 minute walk to El Centro. Very, very convenient. If you want to be close to El Centro I highly recommend Casita 1 or 3.

We'll have our own car so we don't need to be near a bus stop (and probably don't want to be because of noise). I would like to be near the main pool though - should we request 9B too or does anyone have another idea? Thanks!

If you want to be near the main pool, I would suggest Cabana 8A, this was my original request, but ended up in 9B. I wouldn't worry about the bus stops and noise. The stops are far enough away from the buildings to cause any real noise.

As for using your car, we had our own car as well. My DH was so happy to park it and leave the driving to Disney! CSR's bus system was VERY efficient and convenient. The buses drop you off near the entrances of the parks as opposed to being in a big parking lot and then taking a tram to the entrance. I was very impressed with the buses at CSR. The only places you might want to consider driving to would be Downtown Disney, and if you are eating at, or visiting another resort. Other than than I say take the bus.

We're thinking of splitting our stay next April between POR and CS, and are wondering about the recent renovations. How have the rooms changed?

Were the renos cosmetic - decor, paint, bedspreads - or did they update any features? Do the rooms at CS have double vanities? Coffee makers? Hairdryers?
and what about fridges - I've heard rumors that the moderates were phasing in fridges in all the rooms...

Any input would be a great help!!

The renovations appeared to be cosmetic, but everything looked freshly painted and the rooms appeared to be newly renovated... bedspreads, carpet, etc.

The rooms at CSR have single vanities. The do have coffee makers and hair dryers in the rooms, fridges were not there when we were there in August. I did like the curtain that is between the vanity area and the main room, was nice for privacy while getting dressed.

We loved CSR BTW!

We just came back from a stay at CSR and we were in Cabanas 8A right next to the dig site and a bus stop. I thought it was a great location. No fridges were in the rooms yet. We enjoyed the walk over to El Centro and did not think it was too far. We loved the Dig Site, but the slide closed around 8pm.
