We plan to eat at the Coral Reef in Late Sept. I was wondering if anyone has eaten there lately and could give me a review.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the 2 times i have eaten there , the food was bland, and cold , and way overpriced. BLECH.

Bear in mind that i live on the chesapeake bay and have access to FRESH seafood

I just ate there late last month. Everyone in the group I was with was happy with the food and the service. Everyone, especially the kids, were fascinated by the decor (especially when they saw Mickey swimming in the tank).

How will the restaurant be affected by the rehab of the attraction?

We just there for dinner on 8/7. We both liked our entrees very much. But they were soooooo small. I had scallops....well, there were only 3 scallops on top of a tomato and 4 pieces of asparagus....that was the entire entree! The scallops were yummy but only 3? And they charge 29 bucks for that?(I'm pretty sure that's it was...scallops are not listed on the allearsnet.com menu. ) We were still hungry!!!!

I'm sorry to hear about Coral Reef. I have ADR for Sept. but from what I hear I don't want to use 2 TS credits on a mostly just okay meal. I plan on changing to a dif restaurant.

34 days and counting! :grouphug:

Mickey swimming by in in the tank??
PLEASE, someone explain this to me??? Obviously, I have never been to this restaurant.
Also, would an ADR be necessary for a late lunch/early dinner during the first week of Jan?
Thank you
Suzy V.

We too have ADR for the Coral Reef and it will be our first time I am a little nervous now. I have two teenagers one is 15 and tends to eat in large amounts maybe I should change these to some place else and ideas out there?
We leave in 6 days :cool1:

:jumping1:

We were there in May for lunch. I had the Blackend Catfish. Son had Pizza off the kids menu and shared the Beef Skewer appetizer. We were to stuffed for dessert. I thought the meal and service was the best I had anywhere in a very long time.

The tank hold 8 Million gallons of water. The windows are about 8 foot by 12 foot. The restaurant is at the bottom of the tank; actually the floor of the lowest level appears to be below the bottom of the tank.

Not only are there fish, sea turtles and other similar beasts, but their are also Scuba Divers. I have seen Characters, including Mickey, in scuba outfits in the tank.

Fist week in January tends to be slow. However, if you have an early dinner reservation you stand a better chance of getting a table by a window.
