Coral Reef ?

Hi! I am new to this section of the boards and had a question to ask..

I have some friends that are going to be headed to Disney in September and would like to eat at Coral Reef however she is pregnant and some smells make her a little queasy. Does anyone know if it has a fishy smell in the restaurant? I have haven't been there (yet) so I told her I would see what I could find out.

I don't recall it smelling overly fishy, but it is a seafood place, so she may not want to risk it.

OK, it's a seafood restaurant built around a GIANT AQUARIUM filled with millions of gallons of fishy fishwater. Hmmm.

There are so many other fabulous choices in Epcot, why take a chance?

I realize that but it doesn't mean there is a fishy smell. I have been to several seafood restaurants where there wasn't that smell so that's why I asked. The reason they wanted this one is because her son loves fish and they thought it would be cool for him to look at them while having dinner.

we ate at the Coral Reef in June and there was definately no fishy smell. My children loved it there I'm sure your friend's son will love it too![/I]

I don't recall a fishy smell at all. As long as the fish they're preparing is fresh, that smell should stay away. Nice atmosphere, great view...but the food was just ok.

We ate there in May and I am pregnant. There is no way I could have withstood a fishy smell. I actually just don't like fish but that would have made me nauseous. I suggest the steak or chicken! Both were very good.

Well she is going to try it and if she gets there and can't take it she will leave so she booked it for a lunch on her trip.
