:) I have a ADR for Coral Reef during the candlelight processional. I have been seeing some really bad reviews. Does anyone have any thoughts about it and should I try to get a different one for that night?

We were at Coral this week and the meal was excellent with awesome service... would NOT give this one up!

We haven't been there recently (been about 6-7 years), but we loved it the last time we went!

We were there 2 weeks ago. This meal may have been second best over our 12 nights. DH had the steak and I had the crab legs. Good service, not great. We did have a great view of the tank too.

We had the same things....our service was excellent though...his name was Alejandro (I may have spelled that wrong).

We were there in June.

NEVER AGAIN!

It was the worst service I have EVER experience in ANY restaurant! Our waitress was just plain surley and rude. I finally ended up asking the manager for another server. All we had to do was pay the bill, but I couldn't deal with our server any more.

What made it worse, was that I had raved about this restaurant for months after my solo Disney trip. My DH was really looking forward to it. It was a disaster from start to finish.

I highly recommend changing to somewhere--anywhere--else.

We also have a ressie there for the Candlelight Processional on the 26th of Dec. I didn't realize they had crab legs on the menu. The menu on ALLEARS does not have that listed. My DD10 will be so happy if they are still available. May I ask if you had dessert??

We were there this past Feb. we did not like the food at all, but we did enjoy the tanks. We had a nice table right next to the tank. But, other than that we did not like the CR. It was also very very loud and messy..lots of food all over the floor. The service was just so-so. The menu selection is also poor, there really wasn't that much of a selection. I don't think we will be returning to the CR anytime soon.

I'm not sure if this is true, but I know I read in another post that the Chef from Le Cellier moved to the Coral Reef. I think it was this summer. If that is the case, I am sure the meal will be great.

We were just there 3 weeks ago and loved it. :thumbsup2

Actually, the chef from Le Cellier went to Jikos.
The chef from Coral Reef filled the open position at Le Cellier.

We ate there at the end of August and really enjoyed our time and meals.
Kid: apple slices, cheese pizza, make your own sundae
Adults: bbq salmon, tilapia, cheese cake, make your own sundae
We all cleaned our plates, appetizers and entrees, came close on dessert too
Sour dough bread was awesome, we required a second basket.

Atmosphere was fun, tanks were nice entertainment as well.

I would encourage you to keep the ADR. We are looking to return for dinner next time since our first try was for lunch.

Keep in mind there are bad reviews of every TS place in Epcot(LeCellier included), so I wouldn't let that alone stop me from going. Go then write your own review.

Ah, great to know. Jiko's should be amazing then. I wonder where the Chef filling the slot at Coral Reef came from?????

I have been to Coral Reef quite a few times and have found it a very enjoyable experience every time. The food has always been very good and some servers are better than others but I wouldn't let a bad waiter/waitress deter me from returning to a good restaurant. I would keep the ADR and enjoy:thumbsup2

Yes we did..

I had the The Chocolate Wave. It was good chocolate cake but nothing real special. DH had the Baileys and Jack Daniel's Mousse he said he liked it

Also, I had the creamy lobster soup (good for soup). DH had the Sea and Land. He liked that except the polenta, just not his thing.

We were there 2 1/2 weeks ago and it was one of the best meals of the entire week. We had great food and an awesome server. DH says it was his best meal of the week, but I don't know that I would go that far.;)

I would definitely keep the ADR.

I would recommend keeping ADR for Coral Reef. This was our favorite meal on our last trip. We were seated right by the tank and the children really enjoyed identifying the different fish in the tank.:)

We ate at the Coral Reef on October 1st. We were seated about 15 minutes late, but I attributed this to the fact that is was Epcots 25 aniversary so the park was busy.

We are not sea food eaters but were on the dining planand and wanted to try it out. The atmosphere of the resturant is great. It was a little loud but not to the point of being annoying. The service was great and the food was good.

The best part of the meal was seeing Mickey in scuba gear swimming in the tank.
