Has anyone been to the Coral Reef lately? I saw in this month's Disney magazine where they changed chefs last years and the dishes he showed in the layout looked pretty good. in the past, I heard nothing but bad things about the place so I avoided it. We are reconsidering this time. Any good/bad experiences there recently?

Thanks.

Mike

We had lunch there in July. It was a very nice atmosphere. The food was excellent, and the wiatstaff great. Our total was 91.48 including tax and tip. DH and I had an appetizer and entree and shared the signature dessert. DD and DS had the children's chicken meals and each also had peanut butter playdough. We each had a softdrink as well. We will definately return.

We ate at the Coral Reef in June and it was wonderful. The lobster soup was excellent-I had the spicy crabmeat and cucumber timbale salad and even though the portion seemed small it was very filling. I would definitely recommend eating there.

We had lunch there about 3 weeks ago. Posted a long review of it, oh, probably 2 weekends ago.
The crux was, it was a place we'd likely visit again for lunch.

We had a 12:00 lunch there about 2 weeks ago on a Tuesday. We made the PS the day before. We asked for a table by the tank and that is where we were seated. Our 3 & 5 yr old children spent the entire meal watching the fish and pointing out the ones that they would find from the list the waitress gave us. During lunch the diver entered the tank and was feeding the fish right near us so we had schools of fish to watch up close. He also spent a good 20 minutes blowing kisses back and forth with my daughter and doing head stands and other trickes in the water for our entertainment.

The service was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. She even brought the kids their own blue dolphin on their glasses and a small bowl of grits each when she noticed that the kids were enjoying all of ours.

My husband and I both had the Lobster soup & catfish and grits and it was prepaired excellent. I wish I was eating it now.

They also have a nice wine list.

Prices are not as expensive during lunch and it is a nice break during a day at Epcot.

We go back for a quick weekend Friday and only have 2 PS for our short stay and this is one of them.
