We like steaks and seafood equally - so which would have the better atmosphere for family with DD6 and DS12- Which one would we enjoy more?

Hi! I'm recommending Le Cellier just because we thought Coral Reef was very overrated...the food was poor, the service was awful, and we waited to be seated for an hour and a half past our ps time. The only plus was the beautiful aquarium and we were seated too far away to have a good view. In general that was the only poor dining experience we've had in epcot! We love almost all of the other restaurants! princess: :wizard: pirate:

We like both... so I will be of absolutely no help whatsoever!

We've tried both and for our family it was definitely LeCellier. I probably couldn't drag my group back to CR(although it is a pretty place).:earsboy:

LeCellier, have had many good meals and times at LeCellier. ::yes:: :wave2:

i ate at le cellier with my family the day after christmas a few years back and we loved it. the food was great, the waiter was incredibly kind and spent extra time chatting with us and telling us about his hometown in canada, and the decor was warm, relaxing and pretty. i totally recommend it!

We love the food at Le Cellier, I've only been there twice both times without kids, with other couples. Everyone each time loved the food. We had MIL babysit.

My kids (currently 5 & 7) love aquariums so they love Coral Reef. I'm sure my kids would not have enjoyed the atmosphere at LeCellier. We liked the food
at Coral Reef as well, but not like LeCellier, even though I've noticed alot of people are disappointed with food from these boards. They had this chocolate lava dessert which we loved.

Le Cellier.

My mother felt terribly ill after eating at The Coral Reef many years ago. It is such a shame that the food doesn't live up to the wonderful scenery of the restaurant.

We've eaten at both.

Took our niece & nephew (8 & 11) to Coral Reef. Not good for picky eaters, IMO. However, the atmosphere with the aquarium is cool.

Le Cellier is the best meal we've ever had at WDW. The atmosphere is nice, but probably won't do much for your kids.

My dd is an extremely picky eater. I can't remember exactly what she's eaten at Coral Reef, but at all the restaurants she either eats rice, chicken fingers or pasta (wont' even eat pizza or hotdogs). I'm pretty sure it was plain pasta. I can't remember if it was on the menu or I just asked for it.

We have been eating at the Le Cellier for years (back when you could walk in any time without PS - the secret's out!). We all love it! It has always been one of my kids' favorites (they are now 11 and 14).

We have eaten at the Coral Reef 3 times over the past 20 years and each time we loved the atmosphere, but the food was overpriced (even for Disney!). But we are spoiled with seafood as we live on the Gulf Coast.

The steak and salmon dishes at Le Cellier are wonderful. The CMs have always been among our favorites!

Enjoy!

We haven't tried Coral Reef yet, but eventually will. As another poster said, the CM's at LeCellier are the best!

That being said, we've now visited Le Cellier three times since moving here in July. My younger son (5) even asked to eat there when we were in Epcot two weeks ago. He's my daring boy, will try anything (but vegetables) once. But even my 8 year old, who's got lots of food issues, will gladly eat at Le Cellier.

And they don't even know about the chocolatte mousse! The breadsticks and soup are guaranteed to be ordered with everything else.

Went with 3 coworkers in November for lunch. Hands down, that was the best burger I have ever eaten.

So for an unbiased opinion (not!), eat at Le Cellier.
