Le Celliers hands down IF YOU CAN GET IN.... its really really hard to get ADR's there unless you call 180 days ahead....

We love Le Cellier as a family. We have a six year old girl (VERY picky) and she loves it. She particulary loves the chocolate "moose" as dessert. It is a delicious restaurant. I also agree about getting the ADR's...call 180 days ahead!

Eh, if I was a kid I would find LeCellier to be a snoozefest. It's your basic steakhouse restaurant, except cramped and dark (the celler - lecellier). Might have some fun kid options but the atmosphere is basic.

Coral Reef, on the other hand, has an aquarium to watch the entire time. Built in entertainment! Less cramped seating as well.

I think it's much more child friendly, personally.

LOL!! I was having the same problem deciding for our trip in March. So I just decided to do both! LOL! I am doing Coral Reef for Lunch, and Le Cellier for Dinner. ;)

no contest: coral reef!
the kids will love the huge aquarium wall, watching sharks, turtles, & all kinds of fish (as well as an ocassional diver :) ) swim by.
i agree with aimeedyan: LeCellier is a steakhouse, dark & rather crowded (the food is average/good, the atmosphere not noteworthy, imho).

& coral reef has the chocolate wave for dessert

I have to vote for Coral Reef as well. While I liked Le Cellier when we went last summer, DD11 (very soon 12) wasn't all that impressed. Just another steakhouse to her. However, at Coral Reef she was able to look for the fish they had on the list, watch all the sharks and turtles and divers and just had an all around good time sitting right next to the aquarium. There were just the two of us and we didn't have any problems getting next to the aquarium since the seating there is tables of 2 and 4.

Coral Reef and Chef Mickeys are the two restaurants she specifically requested for this summer when we return. Along with Teppan Edo, but it was not open while we were there last summer.

Hmmm, kind of a toss up. My DS was almost 3.5 when we went last fall. We did Coral Reef for dinner in March and Le Cellier for lunch in the fall. He is NOT a picky eater....I think Le Cellier would be best for that child. The atmosphere of the Coral reef was PERFECT for a little one...but best if you are up against the glass. I actually requested a seat against the aquarium glass, and explained that my almost 3 year old son would have a VERY difficult time not interrupting other guests if we were futher away. He would think nothing of joining another table for a better view. Both restaurants have kids menus and from what I've seen, they all include atleast a couple kid fav's such as mac and cheese and chicken tenders. The desserts are what might vary.

We re planning to go to Le Cellier for the first time this year.

Each year we go to the Coral Reef for lunch. We went there is 11/06 and DD6 and DD1 loved it. They thought the food was good ok but the aquarium was the best.

Another vote for Le Cellier. The food is much better.

However, we still go to Coral Reef because of the atmosphere. It is truly an experience for the children to see the fish, shark, sea turtles swim around while they eat.

We think the food at LeCellier is much better than Coral Reef, but I think the kids would enjoy Coral Reef MUCH more.:goodvibes

We love both restaurants but my 6 year old is a picky eater and when we visited Coral Reef just this past December he didn't eat much of his food and we had to get him something else afterwards. Both restaurants are awesome, but as far as a picky eater I think you will better off at Le Cellier like my little one. Enjoy!

Toss up for us also steaks at both are real good. But because of kids I would say Coral Reef for the Acquarium.

Thanks so much to everyone for your great opinions! :goodvibes We already have ADR's for Coral Reef, but had been hearing such rave reviews on Le Cellier, I just thought I'd ask what you guys thought. (Plus, it may be too late for an ADR for Le Cellier in May.) In any case, I think the distraction and entertainment of the aquarium will help keep the girls in their seats better than the steakhouse will. ;) (My DD3 tends to get antsy :sad2:) I will take your suggestions and ask for a table by the glass. Thanks again for your input!
