Coral Reef or Flying Fish Cafe?

Help!

I am the non seafood eater of the group but I am in charge of making the ADRs. My friends have requested eating at a seafood restaurant one night so I am trying to decide which one.

I am leaning towards Flying Fish Cafe but Coral Reef sounds like it is beautiful. What are your opinions on these two restaurants?

I've eaten at both and both are good. I really like Flying Fish and we try to eat there every trip.

I think FF is a better restaurant food-wise, but Coral R has good food plus that "fish-tank" atmosphere that I found appealing. Heres a very recent review I did of Coral Reef:

Flying Fish, especially if you have a non-seafood eater in the group. Flying Fish has one of the best steaks on property, along with all the wonderful seafood.

If you are going for the seafood, Flying Fish wins running away.

Coral reef is pretty, but it's VERY expensive considering the quality of the food is average.

Another vote of Flying Fish. For a non seafood lover, they have a wonderful steak .. one the best at WDW. The chocolate souffle is out of this world!

Flying Fish was one of the best meals I've had in years. The restaurant is beautiful. The desserts delicious. Service impeccible. The steak was good (my husband had it), my children had the kids grilled chicken breast - the best meal they had all week. I had the potato encrusted snapper.

Yes I live in Maine and NO I don't eat fish! That said, I LOVED Coral Reef. It was my favorite restaurant this time and I can't wait to try it again. You can find a link to the pictures on my website.

I'm glad to see some positive votes for Coral Reef since I just used my 180+10 booking window to get an ADR for my birthday next May. I thought pretty hard about what I wanted for birthday meal and since my first choice of "dine with an imagineer" wasn't an option(wrong day of the week), I narrowed the choice down to Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Boatwright's(again), or Coral Reef. After a 45 minute conversation with my mom and sister, the conclusion was Coral Reef.

I also live in southern ME and am not a seafood fan but the chicken dish on the menu sounds good and I might even be brave enough to try the tilapia. Really I picked this restaurant for my birthday because I'm more concerned with seeing the fishies than eating them.
