I need an "entertaining" Epcot restaurant for my two little boys that will have decent food for mommy and daddy :rotfl2:

Which one would you choose for dinner? Coral Reef or Akershus?

My boys don't mind dining with princesses, a character is a character to them :))

We've done Garden Grill too many times that I'm really tired of the menu. My DS4 is a very picky eater so Biergarten wouldn't work for us. He needs a kid's pizza on the menu (or chicken nuggets).

I'm leaning towards Coral Reef only because DS1 is a Nemo fan and I know he will love the fish tank.

Open to all suggestions!

Thanks,
Mare

We love both and do both!!! Are you wanting to go for Breakfast or Dinner?

As for Coral Reef - I don't think they do breakfast. Lunch and Dinner - awesome. Our DS loves it. I'd suggest if you choose this one, you ask for a table next to the tank when you make your ADR (ask them to note it on your reservation) It isn't guaranteed...... but they will try - also be prepared to wait for it - sometimes the wait for tank side tables is a little longer.

We've always had excellent service and great food at Coral Reef.

As for Akershus - Breakfast is awesome - (american food and a cold bar) the princesses are terrific, our DS loved it.

NOW - for dinner - we didn't care at all for the food choices - (norweigan fare). I'd suggest you look at a menu for dinner before you decide.

Either place is a good choice and your boys should enjoy both.

Check here - it's a list of restaurants and menus. Good Luck!

Thanks, it's for dinner.

I think with Norway's unique menu, that's why I'm leaning towards Coral Reef

I know allear.net all too well! I'm ALWAYS reading menus! :)

Thanks!

We love CR and skipped it this trip for Akerhaus. I didn't love my choice (pasta) but my DH had the salmon and it was by far his favorite dinner we had in Disney. He said it was 10 times better then the salmon at Cali Grill. I don't eat fish so I can't tell you but he loved it. While I didn't like my dinner, I was pleased with the salad bar (though it is mostly fish) and dessert. We would go back to Akerhaus again in a heartbeat if we were on the DDP again, otherwise no wasy we'd pay $22.99 for a kids hot dog!!!!

But we still love CR. We will definatly go back there again. We like the tank and I love the steak there.

We will probably alternate between the 2 places.

I would go with CR. We love to go there!! DS18 says that's the best meal at WDW. He's pretty picky but does love it! DD17 only wanted pizza so she wasn't very happy.:confused3 The whole decor of CR is awesome and it's great to watch everyone's reactions to it all. The food was wonderful too! DS had the steak, I had the catfish and grits, and I can't remember what DD and DD's BFF had, but I think they had steak too, or maybe one steak and one shrimp. The catfish and grits is my favorite meal of all the restaurants!! YUM!!!

for dinner- i would go with coral reef. Akershus to me is tolerable only because i do it for my kids. Breakfast is fine (although now very overpriced) but I am not a fan of dinner. In theory i like the food and the menu but they have dumbed it down and made everything so bland that it was just not a fun experience. Coral reef at least has rather tasty food.

Another vote for CR! I have two children ages 4 and (soon to be 6). My daughter requested to eat her b-day dinner there.

Have a great vacation!
