Coral Reef or 1900 Park Fare - Dinner

Which is better for dinner? Is the food better at Coral or 1900? How about the service?

I voted for Coral Reef. The food there is delicious and I love the fish tank. I loved 1900 Park Fare when I was there 2 years ago, but it's changed since the rehab and I've read that the food isn't that great. (It was hard really to choose, since they are two completely different kinds of restaurants, one being character and buffet, and Coral Reef being sit down and no characters).

I didn't vote: these are such very different experiences, almost incomparable...

1900PF is a character buffet - food average to good, service OK, character interaction above average. DD5 and I both had fun with the ugly sisters.

Coral Reef is close to signature dining, excellent food, good service, nice atmosphere. One of the best sinlge credit restaurants. Blackened catfish over pepperjack cheese grits was one of my favorite dishes on the whole trip.

Coral Reef is our favorite. You can't beat the atmosphere, and the food is very good.

As others have mentioned this isn't an apples and oranges, its an apples and chicken comparison. 1900 is a character buffet. Coral is a fairly-formal (though still kid-friendly) sit-down restaurant. I haven't had dinner at 1900, only breakfast, but my read is that the food is pretty straightforward. Coral food has a bit of a flair to it.

Both are great, IMO, but for different reasons! 1900 Park Fare was a decent buffett with great character interaction. Coral Reef, is a total family favorite for us. DH and I LOVE the food, and the kids really enjoyed the atmosphere of the fish. My 5 year old STILL remembers the divers in the tank from 2 visits ago and STILL talks about it! Both are great, but not really comparable since they offer such different experiences. If you or your children are really into Cinderella, I would say 1900 Park Fare is wonderful, otherwise, Coral Reef is a great restaurant, with great atmosphere and great food (we also wish we ate there twice last time we were in Disney!!!). Enjoy!

Thanks everyone for your comments. It looks like Coral Reef is a must dine. How early is the first ADR for dinner? How early is the first ADR at lunch?

Personally I would pick 1900 Park Fare by a land slide. My group had the worst service and food we have ever had at Coral Reef. I have never experienced a more rude waitress in my entire life.

However, I have read posative reviews. Perhaps it is just a hit or miss restaraunt.

For us 1900 was enjoyable and most of all edible!
