Has anyone recently dined at the Coral Reef in Epcot ? We ate there many years ago on our last trip to Disney and had a great meal . But I have heard from a few people that this is not the place to eat if looking for a seafood meal in Disney. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Stay Away - Far, Far Away.

While the food there last week was OK - Good while the servcie was beyond terrible. We were served fresh bread and butter and then 10 -15 minutes later our server comes back and asks if we are ready to order beverages. He seemed suprised that we are ready to order our entrees. He never offered to refill our beverages until he dropped the bill on the table and I told him to take it away until everyone had a fresh beverage. When desserts were served he dropped 6 dessert spoons on the table and walked away.
Of course he knew he was going to get 18% gratuity whether we were happy or not.

Funny. we had one of the best servers ever at Coral Reef last year. It is a must do this year. Everything was excellent. I had the crab legs and they were very good.

We had a good experience at Coral Reef last year. We are going back. I say try it. Any place can have an off night.:thumbsup2

We went in Jun of 2007 for the first time for lunch. Overall, we thought that the meal was good (not outstanding). Service was a little bit lacking though. I have heard from others that this restaurant has had a different atmosphere since it became part of the DDP. However, I have no idea what it was like before.

My family has dined here both before and after the DDP, but we did not notice any difference in the restaurant at all. The food has been very good every time and the service good.....the service has never been stellar, but has never been bad.

:thumbsup2

Was there in July '07 and DW and I had a wonderful dinner. Our waiter was great and so was the food. We plan on going again when back at the World in Aug '08.

Like every restaurant in the world you will have those that like and those that don't.
