Please say it ain't so:eek:  That was my meal there each year we've gone and I noticed whilst I was going throught the menus it had been removed!!! Would anybody be able to confirm? Also we are on the dining plan and does this then make a difference. Thanks for any answers on this.:confused3

i was just there a few weeks ago...no crab...i was less than thrilled...but our food and the resturant itself was still amazing! we were on ddp too

1) No more crab legs.
2) The chef told us they were too expensive for the DDP reimbursement.

Disclaimer: We use the DDP.

That said, I wish they would stop taking things off the menus (filets, etc) and just exclude them from the DDP. That way, if people wanted them, they could order them and just pay for it. The DDP for us is more for convenience, but I do not have a problem paying OOP for something I want that isn't included.

For better or worse, that would be a major departure from the current marketing pitch for the DDP, and The Powers That Be aren't interested in it.

I know, but I would like it better. I'm sure they'd get more complaints than they could deal with because of it.

Yeah, I'd like to see "available on the DDP for $x.xx extra" or something. Of course that would reveal what Disney felt the DDP maximum was, plus it probably would bother people to be now paying extra for the top items, so that probably won't happen.

I just hope these dining plans don't reduce all the menus to rubber chicken and cheap steaks, :rotfl2: I can overpay for those at business conferences, thank you. :lmao:

1) Sure.
2) Then DDP people would claim
. . . they are being discriminated against
. . . they are not getting full value from the DDP
. . . they have a separate menu

I was very disapointed with the crab when we were there in May. They were cold and tasted overcooked. I do love how they split them here but other than that I could get crab legs at Red Lobster that are better (and I dont hold RL to very high standards).
