Coral Reef ADR and Illuminations?

Help! DD16 and I are visiting in August and have a 7:20PM ADR for the Coral Reef. We'd like to watch Illuminations as well at 9PM. Is it feasible? And if so, where would be the best place to view given our starting point?

It will be very tight.

Arrive at Coral Reef at 6:50-ish and check in as soon as they will let you.

Head to in front of Canada.
However, it will be crowded there.

Tight for sure. Try to back it down to 7.

That would be a rather rushed unrelaxing dinner to me. Its doable but you'll find crowds already packed in by the time you arrive to watch. So you'll most likely be in the back of the crowd.

I can only speak to my experience with Coral Reef, but I have yet to experience them seating me even close to my reservation time. (20 mins - 45 mins past reservation time). I'd see if you could get something earlier.

Thank you all! I had hoped for an earlier time but none were available. I'll keep checking to see if anything opens up.

How important is Illuminations to you? If it is an absolute must, I would just drop the reservation and keep watching for something earlier. If it is a not a big deal if we miss it, keep the reservation and enjoy your dinner without watching the clock. If you happen to get out by 8:50, head over to watch it or head over even later, you might catch a portion of it.
