Coral Cay

Does anyone know of this resort? Too me it look very new. I would love some inside information. My trip went from 3 people to 6 people so staying onsite would be too much. Plus we need seperate bedrooms.

Coral Cay looks really new and nice! I can't say that I have any knowledge of it, however. I'm a big fan of staying offsite (usually travel with a group and it's just cheaper and easier for us). This next visit we'll be staying at Windsor Hills. There's a lot written about WH on the DIS. Did you try to do a "search" of the DIS using Coral Cay as the subject?

I did a search on disboards but no luck. I am willing to give it a try but I wonder how far it is from Disney World area. I am also wonder how the layout is. I want to be withing a very short walking distance to the pool.

As far as staying onsite I have really liked it. I have only stayed onsite when it was the 3 of us. Now we have 6 going and we need atleast 3 bedrooms. Too me with that many going it will also be more practical money wise and the fact we can have a full kitchen. My mother is going and she is the one who does all the of breakast cooking when we are traveling.

We actually own a property on Coral Cay Resort. Yes it is brand new - all townhomes with private hot-tubs

Sorry should have actually answered a few of the questions, shouldn't I

Coral Cay Resort is just of the 192 between markers 14 & 15 (down near Medievil Times and the Superwalmart area). It is approx 6 miles from WDW entrance and Downtown Disney.

The resort is all townhomes, 3 & 4 bedrooms, all with private hot-tub and the majority also come with a gamesroom with Playstation 2, board games and foosball table. All homes have cable TV, high speed internet and free USA calls.

Coral Cay itself has a clubhouse with TV area (big HD Plasma), games arcade, business centre, movie theater, billiards table, pool & spa and tot-lot play area. The resort management company is also on site.

The resort is brand new with the final houses closing by about the end of the month - so all construction work is complete (no banging by builders )

Obviously I am bias but it's a lovely place

I know where the location is. My only concern now would be the location of our rental to the pool. Also the pool area doesn't seem so big. Still at this moment Coral Cay is choice #1 since we found a great deal on a website.

If you are booking through the management company or travel agent I suppose you could be put in any unit. Maybe you could request a home near to the clubhouse but I suppose there is no guarantee unless you book through an owner and know exactly which property you are getting

The pool area it self is not massive but there are plenty of room for the sunbeds around both the adult and childrens pools. The main adult pool would be long enough to do lengths should you want to. Here are some photos of the area:
