I have a question about copying old pictures. My mother passed away last February and we would like to copy some of the pictures and place them on a DVD or CD for each of us to have. Most are black and white pictures. What would be the most economical way to do this? There are many, many different types and sizes of pictures. I know it would take months to scan all of them. Is there a good program for this or would it be better to take pictures of them?

Any suggestions from the experts would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
Karen K.

A scanner or copystand is the best way to do it cheaply. The scanner being the easier option of the two. The only way to do it faster is to pay someone to do it for you.

I know the kind of task you're facing. I spent about 40 hours scanning in 2500+ slides of my dad's after he passed away.
