Copy of deed?

we closed a couple weeks ago, and paid cash. I see that the deed was recorded, so no worries. Just wondered, will we get a copy of the deed in the mail?

we received a copy of the deed within a month or 2 of it being recorded.

Some title companies sent us the deed, some email it to us, and some we never got a copy from. But you can download a copy from the orange county comptroller website as a PP mentioned.

Are the downloaded copies accepted when you want to move a contract into your trust? Or do you need to get a certified copy from Orange County before you can complete the process? TIA

You only need the legal description off the deed in order to move it into a trust (or change title in any way). It doesn't need to be certified.
