When I copy and paste a link in my AOL e-mail or RoadRunner e-mail, it works fine. But when I copy a link and try to put it in a "post" on this Forum (DIS) it doesn't work, for example below was an article in the Orlando Paper today.

Would appreciate any help.Link is below.....

Existing-home sales soar to January highs

Is:

Existing-home sales soar to January highs

Supposed to be the link?

If so, it's just coping the links descriptive text and not the actual link. Right click on the link and copy the URL address from the "Properties" choice in the menu.

I also sent this in a reply to your PM.

When you enter a link using the "http://" button it needs two things. First it will ask for the text that you want to display (this is optional) and then it will ask for the URL (or address) of the link.

So for a link to www.mousesavers.com we could click on the "http://" button and enter "Mousesavers" and click "Ok" then enter the URL "http://www.mousesavers.com" and click "Ok". One thing to notice is that when it ask for the URL it will already start you out with the "http://" so be sure that it is in the address but just in there one time.

Using the above, I will get...

Mousesavers

Make sense?

Bob, I think I got it.

When I want to put a link in I right click on link.......go to properties.....than copy the whole address....... then paste it in the post......Right????

How come when I want to put a link in my e-mail (AOL + Roadrunner) I just copy the link and paste it in the e-mail and it works fine? But it doesn't work for the DIS forum and posts that way??????

Thanks for all the help Bob and Mr. J. Cricket

I'm guessing "OLE" incompatability.
