How much is everyone loving CC?? We have never stayed there. Should I try for a 4th night there??My hubby and myself are doing a 5 night non park trip in Nov.

Sooooooo I have literally changed our Nov. trip ressies several times in the last 10 days. Availability has been changing all day long. I was able to get grab 3 consecutive nights at CC yesterday. Very excited about this. My husband has never stayed at BLT so he wants to keep our arrival day there. However I just added another day to the beginning of our trip and grabbed BLT when I saw it was available. We are currently split 2 nights BLT followed by 3 at CC. I keep seeing that 2nd night available at CC. Would it be worth it to stay only 1 night at BLT for our first night even if we are not arriving until between 8-9 pm. Or should I just leave the BLT 2 nights alone. Keep it and spend a bit more time at BLT. I have only stayed there for 3 nights back in 2012 with our youngest. I have only done 1 night ONCE as a split and it was Thanksgiving night many years ago when we could not get that night. We have done many splits but usually it is 3-4 nights before we move to the other resort for 3-4 nights.

If I were not arriving until 8 PM or later on my first night, I would probably stay for 2 nights just because you won’t be doing much more than sleeping in the room that first night. You would have to pack up and be out by 11 AM the following morning if you did a 1-night stay.

I would do a few days at BLT and then a few days at CCV. We love CCV, but each person has a different opinion. Doing a split stay with only one night somewhere for us was a pain, because you can't unpack anything really and get settled in. For us our minimum is two nights, but prefer 3 or more.

The one thing I have done in these cases, especially with a studio is book an overlap night,

Last year, I booked BWV for 3 nights and SSR for 2, even though we were there for only 4,

This way, when changing resorts, we didn’t need to be out of BWV at 11, We slept in, went to Epcot, went back around 3, packed up and rested until 5 ish, and then went to SSR and room was ready,

Yes, it was an extra 14 points, but worth it! I just made sure SSR, the second resort, has my DD listed as lead guest, and I was lead guest at BWV.

Thats a good idea if you have extra points for a split stay.

This absolutely. I would want to enjoy BLT at least a little bit!

OR care to do a waitlist and just do all CC. 2-3 or all 5 in one... those would be my choices.

WOW I have never thought to do that. Interesting. I will remember this.

Glad you got that 5Th night away!!!
The funny thing is......back in March after our 8 night trip (it was wonderful that we got it in before they shut down) I had booked us a 5 night in Oct. then when Disney closed I changed it to Nov. Then in late April I cancelled it. So literally less than 2 weeks ago.....we decided to go for 3 nights so I booked that. THEN I changed it to 4 because our older son said "Mom you can't just go for 3 nights". LOL SO I added a 4th and then yesterday I added a 5th. It is our first trip without going to a park and our first trip EVER without having one of our 3 kids with us. They are now almost 30, almost 27 and 21. LOL It is ABOUT TIME!!!!

Prior to owning DVC, we always booked the night before arrival and the night of the day we leave (usually leave late afternoon or dinner time) so that our room was ready no matter when we got there and we didn't have to rush out on departure.

Currently planning our 1st split stay and I was wondering exactly this (overlap night)! We only really have enough points to do extra in 1 spot (beginning of trip, overlap in middle, or last night). This is the reason we need more points! Lol I honestly want to do all 3!

It definitely helps when you have the points and like I said, we do it a lot,

Even when we went and had 3 rooms booked, we did the overlap night on just one of them, so that we all had a place to hang.

I'm glad to see the kids stuck with you for so long! My girls are 18 and 22 and we will probably keep paying for them as long as they're willing to come. I took 1 of my daughters for a weekend and felt terrible leaving DH and the other D at home! Something about WDW.... I want us all there. Maybe that'll change someday. I know DH and I should probably go somewhere at some point without the kids!!!!!!

Our daughter and her husband just bought DVC a few weeks ago!! We will be overlapping their trip so we have 2 days together. Our oldest son hasn’t been since Oct 2016. He and his gf like to travel to other places but they do like Disney still. Our youngest still enjoys going. We met him there this past March for his spring break and have another trip with him in March 2021.
