Hello,

Starting to plan and look ahead for our October 2018 vacation. Been awhile since we have stayed at Wilderness Lodge.

So, I guess my question: Is Copper Creek Villas really a whole new DVC? Or is it just the renamed VWL? I notice they were selling memberships, so I'm wondering if it was new.

Also, I guess there are villas in the main lodge now? How are those?

Copper Creek Villas & Cabins is a NEW DVC Resort which opens 7/17/2017. It consists of converted rooms in the main building and 26 cabins along Bay Lake.

Boulder Ridge Villas is the new name for the former VWL.

And the new Boulder Ridge owners (old VWL) do not have home priority at the new Copper Creek as it's completely separate even if they are within spitting distance of each other and share a lot of amenities.

Thanks...Actually, I just found a thread that is a little older that has all the answers. I'm sorry this was repetitive!

That doesn't seem fair.

I suppose it depends on your perspective - Here are just two of the differences between the resorts:

2017 Annual Dues:
CCV $7.33 per point
BRV $6,54 per point

Occupancy:
CCV Studios sleep 4
BRV Studios sleep 5

I'm surprised DVD can even sell CCV given the proximity of BRV (given the buy-in cost & the fact that the two resorts share the same amenities and location). Must be those GVs & Cabins! :teeth:

I'd say that twice the usage life (50 years vs 25) is enough to justify the price differential. :)

Unfortunately I won't be surprised if VWL (stubborn I am - aka BRV) catches up a bit with CCV sooner rather than later. So much is in the property tax so we'll see if they consider the proximity or the current avg sales price more in their valuation.
