I mean the studios, not the cabins. I just realized I've never stayed there, and thought that maybe I'd spend a few days there on my trip next year. I also considered Boulder Creek villas, but in a YouTube video I watched today, a family had stayed in both, and said the Copper Creek studios were MUCH nicer. I thought of a split stay with my favorite, BCV. So, tell me all about Copper Creek studios.

Boulder Ridge studios are bigger than Copper Creek. Most of the tub/shower CCV studios are on the ground floor. CCV studios are newer and quieter than BRV from a room perspective, but BRV building is less crowded than the main building. I love both!! :)

We just stayed at CCV in a studio and it was quite nice. We had 4 adults (two college kiddos) and my mobility scooter + a bunch of medical equipment a travel with. We had no problem unpacking into the dressers or all 4 sharing the bathroom setup, it was tight, but we ended up pleasantly surprised.

The food at all places was pretty good, even if the all you can eat skillets weren’t our thing. Our room was at the end of the southern CCV building, first floor, right on the corner. Both pools and the outdoor quick service were all a few steps away!

The atmosphere wasn’t our preference, but the hotel is extremely nice by any standards. You’ll enjoy staying there.

Thanks for mentioning you mobility scooter and Copper Creek. I also will be traveling with a mobility scooter. My question is about transportation. Did you ever take the boats, or always the buses? Was it a long way to the buses?

We did boats, monorail, buses, and Skyliners. No problems with the scooter, on the skyliners if you have a large party you might need to split into 2 gondolas.

Let me see if I can find our room number because it was the last room right by the exit door. Perfect for handicapped access!

Boats to MK, if it is a bigger boat, can usually take scooters. (exceptions being if there is a problem with the water level?) The busstop is closer to BR than CC rooms, but not really far like other spread out resorts. BR rooms are bigger, lobby is lovely (visit it even if you pick CC). The pull out couches are pretty worn out in the BR studios (refurb next year), if you need to use those. The views can be better in BR studios, because you have much better chance being off the ground floor (some people like the ground floor, I do not). CC is newer, BR more "rustic" in decor.

We own at BR, next trip is at CC (BR was booked by the time I tried to get a room in late September). We love the entire WL resort.

We love both CCV and BRV. We probably prefer BRV more though. It is more rustic, and the room is larger. We also prefer the quieter atmosphere of BRV (which is strange because we like Jambo over Kidani so not sure how to explain that). With that said, I prefer the balconies at CCV more just because they provide more privacy.

1166 was our room. It is a long walk from the lobby, but I was in a scooter so didn’t care. My family never really complained either. I always got to the lobby and buses by going out the side door and through the pool area, then up the access ramps. 9/10 we were grabbing breakfast or a snack from Roaring Fork, so navigating the resort that way was simple. Boat to MK was just as easy.

We own at CCV, but haven't been able to get in for our dates. We've stayed at AKL & RR since joining DVC, and scheduled to stay at SSR preferred rooms in November. CCV always seems to be booked full or only available for a night or two.

We own at CCV, but have stayed at both. I prefer BRV, for the quietness. You can usually relax in the lobby, in peace. Not going to happen in the lodge lobby, unless it's the middle of the night. My wife likes CCV better, for the convenience. She says it's nice to be in the middle of everything. I guess it depends on what you are looking for.

Any guesses on how this books up at the 7mo window? We're looking for a Post Thanksgiving trip here in 2023. Hopefully the banked points from 2020 will have stabilized by then. Trying to figure out if our chances are Slim to None?

Thanks, I really appreciate the comparison.

Slim to None is correct at the 7 month mark for CCV or BRV during the holiday season. Extremely popular and heavily booked by those with home resort advantage.

Your best chance to book a CCV studio at seven months out might be early May, maybe early June, August.
