Hi everyone,

We are looking at going over the summer and staying in a studio. We are a family of 4 (kids will be 9 and 7). We have stayed at Boardwalk many times and they love it. Copper Creek is available though and we have never stayed there. We plan on going for a week and only going into the parks 3 or 4 days. We will not have a rental car.

Which would you suggest and why?

Since you have stayed at BWV and haven't stayed at CCV then I would try something new. If the kids want separate sleeping surfaces like at BWV then CCV wouldn't work though...otherwise that's the way I would go.

I tend to agree with above poster - no harm in trying something new! We love Copper Creek but it will be tight as far as room size. The resort itself is beautiful and the boat ride to MK is cool. You are also close enough to get to the other resorts/monorail that you could just spend a day doing that! Buses aren't too bad if you go to other parks.

Also close to Fort Wilderness to check that our if your kids like horses (see the stables) and do more outdoorsy stuff.

If you are used to BWV, keep in mind that CCV without a car means you're stuck there unless you either pay for uber/lyft or take bus or boat to MK and transfer from there. It's very different from BWV, where there are lots of food and shopping options within walking distance. (I like to go back to the resort to rest in the early afternoon, then go get a snack. CCV was not a good option for me.)

We have stayed at BW and BR and liked both. Depends on exactly what you are looking for. Without a car BW is easy access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios whereas CC will give you the advantage for Magic Kingdom. So part of it may depend on which park you prioritize for those few days. I liked the food choices more at wilderness lodge especially by the pool. My kids enjoyed the BW pool more than the other one but I dont consider that a big deal. Cant speak for the rooms since we did not stay on the CC side

Both of these properties can be difficult to book. They are high demand rooms and might already be booked. If you want this, you need to lock it in now!

I would say this is no brainer for BW, the best location in WDW, but maybe not the best choice for so many no-park days. The pool is OK, and maybe it's not the most fun to stare at the parks you aren't going to. I might actually go AKL, which is easy to book on the savanna, about the same number of points, and so easy to never leave.

As mentioned, only BWV of the ones mentioned here, CC, AKV, BWV, will have a sleeping surface for each child.

Copper Creek is great for resort days. Pool is great, there are 2 hidden mickey challenges (one in WL area, one is BRV area; ask at front desk), dining at Geyser Point is nice when weather is nice. The grounds are so nice. Maybe boat to Ft Wilderness will open back up by the time your trip rolls around. Quick service food is better at CCV.

The real benefit to BWV I think is easy access to Epcot and HS.
