I have stayed at Bay Lake and love it, but never Copper Creek or Wilderness Lodge. Looking for some pros and cons? Then I am tossing up Beach Club for (4) nights then do the other (4) at either one Copper Creek (Since its New) or BLT?

VWL is our home resort, and our second favorite is BLT. My first instinct is to say stay at the one where you've never been, that whole variety is the spice of life adage. Both offer advantages and unique theming to the other. In contrast to BLT, Copper Creek is more rustic and feels a bit more like an escape. While we love BLT for its location and clean lines, the resorts at the Lodge feel more like a destination spot. It's relaxing, so you don't get the hustle and bustle you find at BLT/CR. BLT offers quick access to MK and the monorail; however, the Lodge has the boats to MK (a lovely way to get there and back) and some of the better bus service of any resort. One of our favorite things is walking around the grounds at the Lodge--they're beautiful, and that's something you simply don't get at BLT. In the end, for convenience, I'd choose BLT; however, for a more relaxing, sensory filled visit (music, sights, ambiance), go with Copper Creek.

Keep i mind that the 2 bedrooms at BLT have 3 full bathrooms as well as sleeping space for 9 (plus an infant). The 9th can use the sleep chair (twin size) in the living area. BRV & CCV have 2 full bathrooms and no sleep chair.

If that doesn't matter to your party, then my advice is to stay at BRV or CCV - because you haven't yet experienced it. :)

How many people will you have? Are you going at a time when a pool is important? I've stayed at both and thought CCV was very small for a large group.

Just returned from Wilderness last week, we stayed in a 1bd at BR villas, I did notice that almost all CCV rooms over look a pool, either the main pool at WL or the new pool at BRV. I did find the resort peaceful and quiet with great bus transportation to all parks. I did not care for the food at the 2 QS food locations but that's just me being picky. We had a 3 year old & 14 year old boys and they enjoyed the pools and the rustic décor.
It was a nice stay
We did a 2 bd at BLT last year with a lake and park view on the 14th floor, and I loved it, huge room, great transportation, I enjoyed the food selections, gift shops and arcade at BLT more that WL. Pools at both resorts were the same to us.
We prefer BLT or BCV but we were very happy at WL last week.

I think it really comes down to your plans. If you want to be in the parks, especially MK, then I’d go BLT all the way! We did a 2BR in February and it was great from a space and proximity perspective. We cook too so the kitchen BLT is one of our favorite setups.

If the plan is to really soak up the resort though and get some good pool time in. The amenities at CCV/BRV are a lot more heavily themed, the pools especially.

Like most things DVC, it’s kinda hard to make a bad choice either way!

I would not recommend BCV for families with small children, especially if you have an older child and a younger one or two. SAB is huge and impossible for a single parent and sometimes two to keep track of the kids. If all your kids are older and are good swimmers then it is different. It is a great resort for them.

CCV only sleeps 8. The rooms are converted hotel rooms in the main WL building. That means they are narrower than the typical DVC 2BR. So you might find them tight. But WL is a great location with access to MK either by boat or bus.

BLT has larger rooms than BCV or CCV and a 2BR has 3 bathrooms, with one off of the living room, which makes getting ready a much faster process and gives some privacy to all the guests. As to access to MK, I like BLT the best because it is a 10 walk to the park. And when you come home if the kids are tired you can take the monorail back as it is the first stop after MK.

I hope you get the resort(s) you want.

Just back from week stay at CCV 2 bedroom. Loved it. Two great pools and good food options. Great location in resort. We also like using the boats to get to MK.
