Copper Creek on sale?

It will be interesting if it comes out higher or equal to Poly, wondering if the lack of monorail access will give a discount.

my guess is that it is going to be in-line with the relative pricing of the cash costs of the hotels. VGF and BLT are more expensive rooms than Poly and Wilderness Lodge. I never compared Wilderness Lodge to Poly pricing -- so I am not sure if it will likely be more or less.

Of course, it seems that in the history of DVC pricing -- the newest resorts always seem to be priced a little higher...of course some of that might have been due to improved locations.

Given the price difference between the Wilderness Lodge hotel and Poly hotel it would seem logical that the new CCV would be priced lower than the POLY, but who knows with Disney.

I suspect that the point values for any lodge rooms will be roughly comparable to existing VWL rooms of the same size, unless the new rooms are substantially better equipped. I suspect the waterfront cabins will be less than the Poly bungalows. If I were forced to narrow it down further, I'd expect the lakefront cabins would be somewhere between an SSR GV and a BLT-Lake View GV, erring on the side of BLT (but probably still sleeping 8ish people).

I suspect the price per point will be the same as whatever is being offered at other resorts, plus or minus temporary sales incentives.

I agree- I think they will keep charging $176 a point for CCV, but the number of points required per night for rooms will be less than Poly/VGF.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that CCV becomes the most expensive DVC ever, both in $/point and points per night.

Usually it's the same price per point as the others in active sales but with discounts or incentives. At least once they've brought it in cheaper pp but at roughly the same proportions as the final price over the last few resorts when compared to the then usual sale price. I suspect the points will be less than poly/VGF and more than BLT.

I've been a member since 1999, I've never seen them open a new resort for less $ than the current ones, not including incentives.

I think the points per night will be more than Boulder Ridge, using the "main building" location, that's been the pattern for new resorts. I think the rooms will be smaller, the current WL rooms are only 340 square feet. BR studio is 356 square feet, per allearsnet.

I agree - this is my opinion, also. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the CC points per night cost ends up a lot closer to the Poly & VGF than VWL.

I agree they will sell at the current Poly price, but discounting it at the beginning as a special for a limited time (possibily limited for a few years).
But to attract people to the VWL they have to give something special, so here's my crazy prediction: all rooms will be concierge level: it doesn't cost anything to DVC (it's paid by MF) and there is some interest about it by a lot of members, so it's something might attract people to buy at the WL at those crazy prices even if next door resale is sold for less then half.

Considering DVC will be half the hotel (around 360 WL rooms are being converted), it would have to be a huge club lounge. I wouldn't be surprised if some are club level.

They sold SSR, AKV and are selling Poly at a reasonable pace even though all were slower than hoped by DVD it appears. They can sell it almost no matter the costs either in $$$ or number of points. Regardless I doubt there'll be a club lounge and if there is, I suspect it'll be a fairly limited volume. I suspect it'll be easier to sell than Poly has been.

This is not that far fetched. A cast member at our stay last year at VWL noted the something similar. Essentially DVC would be rolling out a pilot of some kind focused more on customer experience/service while staying at the new DVC. Seems like it may be going back to more of a hotel type experience than a timeshare experience. I guess this could justify the cost of the timeshare, but I am sure you will see it in high annual fees per point right from the get go.
