The point chart for the Poly Bungalows is brutal. We want to stay to check it off a bucket list, but it would have to be for at max 2 nights during the week in a low season. This is coming from someone who is not that frugal with our points (we stay in mostly 2BR, 3BR, and 1BR units).

There are many 3BR GV that I would rather stay in for less points. CCV cabins on the other hand are a good "value" in comparison. They cost less than the GV at CCV (a room we love) and it would be a tempting upgrade from a typical 2BR at CCV for a special occasion.

Cabin for sure - love the plunge pool and fireplace plus I don’t trust the plumbing in the Poly Bungalows…

Cabin for sure. In my view it does a much better job of "replicating" what it is designed to. The Bungalows are a curious attempt at replicating the "overwater" experience in French Polynesia, with no tropical water or tropical fish.

That is what I was thinking from a points standpoint.

Absolutely the cabins - they're one of the most amazing resort options on property. Having seen the bungalows, we feel they're nice but not a must-do. If you get the wrong end of the bungalows, you get to deal with the ferry boat traffic and noise from early morning to late at night. Either would be quite the splurge on points, though!!

I've stayed at the cabins with my family in September 2021 and they were amazing. Hands down the best place to stay on property. I was able to see fireworks from my cabin so watching them from inside the hot tub was incredible. That was definitely a once in a life time stay as the points are so high.

I don't have any interest in the bungalows. I would rather save up and stay at an actual overwater bungalow in Bora Bora or Tahiti.

Cabin without a doubt but I'd request one on the end nearest Fort Wilderness.

We were concerned about the sound of the boat horn as they come in to the dock. We were are the end I mentioned above and rarely heard them and even then, only when on the screen porch. We absolutely loved the cabins. It was a one and done with covid points because of the point chart.

That's also the reason we chose CCC instead of Poly Bungalows: we've heard the boat horns are very noticeable since the dock is close by.

I haven't toured the bungalows, but based on points and amenities, I would choose the cabins. This is actually on our bucket list to do w/ our friends as well! We will have to bank and borrow points all into one year to make it happen, but I think it's worth it!

I have stayed in actual overwater bungalow in Bora Bora before....so personally, Poly bungalows aren't that attractive to me.

Generally prefer the Bungalows for location, theming/ambiance, overwater experience etc., but, we have had bad experiences there on our last two stays (obnoxious guests in neighbouring bungalows to the point that mgmt and security were heavily involved). We’ve spent five weeklong trips in the bungalows and only one week in the cabins (cabins are nice, but we are not fans generally of staying at WL). We won’t be staying in either for awhile as our experience has been soured. It’s our experience that —due to cost (probably) — we get a lot of one-night neighbors who are there to party with large groups (leading to the issues we’ve had) and not families/vacationing guests staying for a “typical” Disney vacation.

Didn’t even think about the Ferry traffic especially if you are on that end

I think the restaurants are pretty comparable at the actual resorts but you do have access to the full monorail restaurants.
IMO: Storybrook Dining > Ohana. Geyser Point > Kona Cafe. But Roaring Fork < Captain Cook's (except for Baked goods WL wins there)

But yes Poly has access to the Monorail loops, I would have said WL had access to FW but they killed Trails End. Hopefully one day the boat to the CR starts up again.

It's a 5-minute boat ride from WL to the MK boat dock, and an additional 2 minutes to walk from the dock to the Monorail station. That's plenty close for me, while maintaining some peaceful separation from the masses on that loop.

I don’t disagree and do that all the time when staying at WL. Just the other boat was very peaceful.
