I usually go to another popular site for photos of the view from various rooms on property. However, said site doesn't really seem to have too much on the Copper Creek cabins.

Just looking at the map, it seems like if you stick to the Northwest side (8001-8012), you have a decent shot at seeing the fireworks from your cabin's back porch, but you will also have the boats constantly passing through that channel to the south of Discovery Island, no? Is there a sense of lack of privacy there?

And if you go to the Southeast side (8013-8026), it appears that your chances of seeing the fireworks diminish, but you won't have the boats passing right by, possibly giving you a bit more privacy.

Am I right on all that? Just trying to figure out the pros and cons before I make a room request.

Please and thank you!

Sounds right to me. The only view of fireworks will be the higher ones and at a fair distance. Will the island block some of the view?

Having only ridden by on the boats and viewerd the cabins, I’m not sure I would necessarily feel my privacy was significantly invaded. But I’m not a fan of the boat horns which is always an accommodational hazard of being near or on water at WDW. Some of the SE Bungalows could be a bit of a walk to pools and buses, but I bet those last bunch towards FW are pretty quiet.

I think I have seen some threads that claim you get a view of the fireworks of some kind.

Yeah, that's my hesitation about the SE - to get away from the noise and bustle of the pool area, and to reduce the boat traffic passing by our back porch, we'd be hiking a bit to the buses and pools. I just need to figure out what's most important - convenience or (relative) isolation.
