I have heard that with the closing of Alien Encounter both COP and Timekeeper will be come regular attractions once again!
COP will be from opening to closing and Timekeeper will be from 10-6 everyday.

I haven't seen Timekeeping in a lot of years since our last 5 trips have been off-season!

Going in one week! Yeah!

That is GREAT news!! I will really miss AE and Thunder Mtn is also closed during our visit, so I'm glad to hear that these attractions will be open.

Where did you see this??

When is this supposed to take place?

Is there any official info about this from WDW?

I have not seen an official Disney announcment yet - on the Disney website it says that the two attractions are open "seasonally".

I have seen this post on a couple of other reputable Disney sites and they both state that both attractions will become regular beginning on October 12 - the day after Alien Encounter closes.

I hope this is true! COP is one of my favorite attractions! I never did understand why it is just seasonal, when it doesn't seem to require much manpower to run it.

I have never seen either attractions. They have been closed when we were there.

What are they like?

DS and I did COP one afternoon just to get off our feet and get out of the heat. It became one of our favorites.::yes::

We didn't get a chance to experience Timekeeper in 2001. I hope it'll be open on our next trip.

That makes my day :sunny: I love COP and I'm excited that I will be able to enjoy it during my trip :hyper: Timekeeper is cool as well!

GREAT news! CoP is one of my favorites, and I would love to see it in December! :earsgirl:

I am hoping this is true. We have yet to experience these since we visit in early June and they aren't open while we are there.:Pinkbounc

:Pinkbounc This is GREAT news! I would much reather have CoP than Alien. Even my 3 year old loves the Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow Song. Thanks for sharing.:wave2:

I really hope this is true.
We have never seen either of them!!!!

I hear so much about COP, I would like to experience myself

This is true would like to see Disney confirm before I get my hopes up to much.:scratchin :goodvibes :wave2:

I figured they had to do this since AE would make the entrance to tommorrowland empty. I am glad they are going to bring back COP also. My sister likes the dog in COP since she uses a wheel chair then we get to sit up front where is can see him clearly. My sister likes Timekeeper and his little robot friend. I like the ship they have in the future.

I read on one of these boards 1 or 2 years ago that the mechanics of the COP were so old and obsolete that it would be nearly impossible to fix once it had a major breakdown so it was being used sparingly to prolong it's use. i don't know if this is true, but it sounds reasonable

Actually running the show does not require much manpower, but apparently keeping the show running does. COP is old and prone to maintenance problems.

Hi,

Someone asked what the Timekeeper show was like and I did not see a reply. The show is a "movie in surround" (like the China show in Epcot). At the front of the room is a cool robotic figure that resembles Robin Williams. Robin Williams does the vocals. The story was interesting and a little bit educational. My eight year old DS is standing here and his comment was "It's cool". It wasn't scary. That doesn't work for my children. Actually Dad went over to do Alien Encounter and we did Timekeeper. I also look forward to seeing it again.

That would be mickey magic at work for us to see either COP or Timekeeper or both - the times of year we go I would have expected to never have a chance to see these attractions

thanks
