Coordinating our APs/MagicBands/FP+ choices with guest using Fla. Resident ticket?

My family stayed at Pop this past weekend and received Magic Bands that are now linked to our AP's. We are returning in a couple of weeks and staying at the Swan. My daughter's BF will be our guest. He will have a Fla. Resident ticket that we can't pick up until we get to a park.

Sooooooo . . . I understand that the three of us with AP's can use FP+ to pick our FP's in advance. And we can re-use the Magic Bands for park admission and FP+. But how can we loop our guest in with those advance FP+ plans? Just take a chance that he can get the same FP's when we arrive at the park? :confused3

Alternatively, if I choose not to use my FP's that we have scheduled in advance, can I just let him use my Magic Band/FP? It would be just like handing a paper FP over to someone which we frequently did before if DD wanted to ride something twice.

Lastly -- DD and the BF are going to EMH at MK one night (March 8 to be specific). Are any FP+ desirable during EMH? I haven't done EMH in a long time because it's past my bedtime. :rotfl:

Sorry if these are repetitive questions! I am finding the new system super confusing.

(p.s. I HATE the tiered FP's)

I don't know all the answers to your questions! However, we are running into the same difficulty of linking up friends/guests so we can ride rides together... I think this new system really messed up traveling with others with different "types" of tickets. Ex. Our AP's with someone who is off-site and has a 3day ticket etc. It really stinks!

The question about sharing magic bands... As long as you entered the park he could use your magic band for FP. We did that with our youngest DD's magic band. We let our oldest daughter use it for FP so she could ride the rides twice! Some people may not approve of that but I don't think it's a big deal at all or "getting over or around" Disney rules. It's just giving a FP to someone that you aren't going to use!

That's how I view it too. They haven't left us with many other good options, and I don't feel like I'm gaming the system by giving him my FP.
