Coolest placee to view Wishes is...

There are certainly better places to watch the entire show, but I scheduled a FP+ for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for the same time as the fireworks. We were able to see the fireworks while riding, which was pretty cool. We then watched the rest of the show from the area near the ride exit.
I booked a FP for the 7DMT for the same reason. I just can't figure out what time to head in to ride. How far out from Wishes did you get on?

Wishes runs under 15 minutes.
BTMRR runs for about 3 minutes.
The 7DMT runs under 3 minutes.
If you get on much before Wishes, you'll be done before Wishes starts.

The best place I saw Wishes was while riding Dumbo, behind the castle, before it moved. It was my oldest son's first trip. The fireworks started just as the ride started. It was magical.

Last time I watched from the platform just outside the main train statin. Not crowded and no one standing in front of you to Block view. We also were up there for Main Street electrical parade. Has anyone used fast pass for the new wishes grass area?

Yes. That is an excellent spot

We did that last night. :)

My vote is for FP+ viewing spot. If you get reaalllly lucky everyone stays seated and you sit on the soft AstroTurf. Then when it's over you can stretch out and relax until everyone has filed out. It's great!!

If the train is under refurbishment can you still get up there to watch the fireworks? I would think you couldn't, but figured I'd ask if anyone knew for sure.

Stalking for ideas :) I'd love to see the show well without having to squeeze into thehub/town square with my wild kids and 50 billion other people :P

(I know, I know - me and everyone else!)

Yes.

And, while that is a spectacular location to view MSEP, it is less than good for viewing Wishes and poor for viewing Celebrate the Magic.
They intentionally leave the full-brightness lights at that end of Main St. on (directly where you are looking) and the bright lights of the Train Station platform on (where you are standing) during Celebrate the Magic and Wishes.

Ah, ok. Always appreciate your wealth of info, Robo. :thumbsup2

Thanks. I think we'll walk in as they dim the lights for Wishes

For me it was the inside of Cinderella's Castle at Cinderella's Royal Table. I wasn't crazy about the food and for the price (and no alcohol) I probably wouldn't do it again but to actually be inside the castle and view the fireworks was definitely a unique experience.

I believe we got in line around five minutes before the beginning of Wishes, knowing that it would still be five or 10 minutes before we actually got on the ride. Usually my timing isn't that good, so I was ecstatic that it all worked out!

Mine too! We had a table right next to the window and it was truly a magical moment!!

DD and I once watched the fireworks while riding Astro Orbiter. It was a magical moment.

I have seen Wishes front and center on Main Street, from NFL, and at the Wishes Dessert Party. But on 7/18 I was solo at MK and watched part of it from the bridge in Frontierland near Splash Mtn, and then walked through Frontierland toward Liberty Square. It was a pretty cool view! When on the bridge, the castle is directly in front of you, but the fireworks are off to the left. Then, as the show went on and I walked toward LS, the fireworks seemed huge and right overhead. It was a new experience and pretty fun!

Yup. That bridge is kind of a special fireworks viewing spot.
You can even see Tinker Bell from there (she's kinda far away) when she flies during Wishes.
I have it labeled ("Wooden Bridge") in purple on my MK Parade Route Map below.

Unfortunately, from there you won't to be able to really see the spectacular, not-to-be-missed show that is actually projected on the front of the Castle, "Celebrate the Magic," which begins about 15 minutes before the fireworks.
