I voted for Grimace.

Who used to be the Evil Grimace.

And was pretty much a B.A.

On the link posted by DaveInTN, you can see an early McDonalds commercial in which Jodie Foster and the Evil Grimace co-star with Ronald.

In the first cycle of McDonaldland commercials beginning in 1971, Grimace was the "Evil Grimace", with two pairs of arms with which to steal milkshakes. After that first campaign, the character was revised to be one of the "good guys", and his number of arms was reduced to two.


I remember the first time I saw the new Grimace.

The poor guy. In addition to removing a set of his arms, I think Ronald gave him a lobotomy, too.

Those were the good old days.

I guess I was too "grown up" for the McDonald's characters by the time they came out. I was in senior high by that time, and thought all the characters were pretty lame.

Now HERE's a McDonald's commercial that's a classic!

That's because they stopped cleaning at McDonalds in the mid 80s


BTW - on the way to the hospital yesterday I had my semi-annual Big Mac fix. My total cholesterol went from 146 to 350!

When my kids were toddlers, I recall buying some McDonalds videos at McDonalds. IIRC, one of them had something to do with camping.

I definitely had several (lead) painted glasses! My kids got the plastic stuff though.

Personally, I despise McDonalds food!!

Since I stand alone as the ONLY person who voted for Ronald, I want to change my vote. I vote for ME. I think I'm the coolest McDonald character.
