Are you allowed to bring coolers in there? My kids want snacks every 15 mins it seems. I know you get lunch but don't really want to spend alot on snack type foods.

I don't think so ... DC seems to be real sticklers about controlling the types of items in the parks for environmental purposes.

To be safe I would recommend calling them to see what (if anything) you could bring into DC.
