Cooler temps

I know that a cold day at Disney is still better than a warm day anywhere else, but I'm getting a little bummed about the 60 degree high temps I'm seeing for our trip next week. Would anyone like to cheer me up about that? It'll still be awesome and nice not to be sweating through our clothes, right?

I hear ya! We normally go in summer so I know exactly how to deal with heat. I'm clueless with how to deal with being cold at Disney! Lol! High of 60 means a low of . We will be there next week too and I'm still hoping for a warm up! Lol!

Temp forecasts can change but I doubt 60F will turn into 80F

Sorry but temps are what the temps are, sometimes you just have to go with the flow during the cooler season. When we last went in Dec 2014 it was 40-50F, never got into the resort pool but otherwise dress for the weather and all the other events and attractions are fine.

I go about 1 time a month and I can tell you I would take cooler weather over hotter any day

a lot of hot sweetie smelly people that have been up way to long since the parks are open longer and more people just is not so much fun

I will take having a sweet shirt on lower crowds any day enjoy your vacation

60 during the day won't be too bad, unless it's windy. Remember the parks are all paved, except ak, and that absorbs a lot of heat. But the nights will be cool, maybe even cold. Bring light jackets for the nights.

Today it hit 80 here in Florida

This is how I feel. The hot humid weather strips me of my energy. It is brutal. I would gladly take a cooler day.

Just make sure you pack some sweaters and a light jacket. IMHO (and no offense intended towards the OP) but I don't understand why sometimes people are surprised that the temps are cool when they are visiting WDW in the winter, regardless of whether it is Florida or not, it is still winter and there will always be seasonal cold fronts that come and go during that time of year, even in Florida.. To cheer up the OP, you will get to enjoy the parks in a cool comfortable environment, beats WDW on a super hot summer day! :)

WDW is my idea of hell in the summer. It's hot and humid and people are sweaty and gross. Cooler temps are wonderful, touring the parks is so much more pleasant. It won't be cold during the day, just a little chilly, but make sure you wrap up warm at night when it really can get cold.

For future trips, if you really dislike WDW in the cold weather, I wouldn't suggest coming any time from November to March. Those months can be cold, I mean it is winter, even in Florida!

Not surprised, knew it could happen, just was hoping for a little warmer. Thank you all for helping cheer me up :-).

I travel the week after next. Personally I am hoping for highs in the low 60s. I don't care how cold it gets at night. I can put on a jacket. Sure beats heat sickness.

I've been there with daytime highs in the low 60s. It does get cold after dark, bring a light winter coat and gloves. I took a denim coat with a flannel lining. My mom laughed at me for bringing gloves. Guess who bought gloves there?

I would love a whole forecast of those temps for our 12 day trip beginning at the end of the month. I think that is the perfect type of weather for all of the walking around entailed. Plus, you can wear cute hoodies and sweaters!

60 degrees would be shorts weather where I'm from!

Trust me, it won't be bad. You won't be uncomfortable due to heat, you won't be sweating, all of that fun stuff.

For us, we have to take afternoon breaks to escape the heat when we've been there in the summer. Think about strolling, taking in everything and enjoying not pouring sweat. We have a Dec trip planned next and are praying it won't be 80 degrees. Enjoy the 60s and bring layers for the night.

Just got back from upper 50s days and upper 30s nights.

Layers. :thumbsup2 That's all you need.. just have a jacket that is light enough to carry or wear and strong enough to block the wind. We had hats and gloves too, because I'd much rather be comfortable than freezing. Gets real cool watching fireworks, especially at Epcot/lake wind.

Very windy over at Disney Springs too can make for some very cool evenings. We were walking around in jackets, hats, and gloves... and of course, there were some... teenagers... in shorts and skirts.:headache:

I was there early January when the temps were in the 60s during the day and 40s/50s the rest of the time. The mornings were chilly (but tolerable) and the afternoons were perfect, but a few of the nights were stupidly cold, especially when paired with the constant wind. I wore a light coat every day (over 2 thin layers) and used my gloves on a few occasions, but there were a couple of nights that I wished I also had a ski mask and a pair of fur-lined boots. I'm from Houston and our weather is similar to Orlando's, but I was really unprepared for the wind chill... :cold:

But again, perfect afternoons (11:00-5:00-ish)! And if it helps, we're already planning a trip for the same week of January next year, so it couldn't have been that bad, right? Now that you know what to expect, you should be fine!

It's been such a warm winter it might actually be warm while you are there. I live in north Georgia (Athens - Go DAWGS ((it's a requirement))) and it's 68 and raining outside right now. While we don't get as cold as up north, we normally have a couple of months where you wear coats and sweaters, I'm been kind of disappointed not to get to wear all my winter clothes this year.
