I need to go out soon and buy a collapsible cooler, which size do you all have? I don't need one with wheels just one I can fold down. The largest I have found is a 18 can holder would that be too small?
Thanks :D

Double check before you get that (or any) cooler. I just received my cruise tickets and it states that NO coolers of any kind are allowed on board. I don't know if this is a new rule or that they've been overlooking it in the past but that's what it says.

I know that the docs state no coolers but from what I have read on this board people say that you can bring them in for your room to keep ice and cocktails in :Pinkbounc

We have a smaller size rolling suitcase that I will be filling up with beer and soda that I will bring on with us.

Just wondering what size everyone usually brings with them.

Thanks though! :D

I just purchases a collapsible cooler at Sam's for just under $7.00. I'm sure I could easily fit 48 or more cans in it, so it is large but it folds fairly flat. I can't imagine them giving me a hassle at all about it because if I carried it on it would be just like another suitcase. I think from what I read they don't want anyone bringing on hard coolers but I could be wrong.

so - what is the rule? do we bring collaspible coolers? or not? I was planning on bringing a collaspible

I was going to bring a hard cooler - but now it looks like I am going to Sams for the folding one -

Will the folding one fit in a suitcase? So if you filled the suitcase full of cans, could you put the folding cooler with it? I've never seen one so I do not know what they look like -

I did want to bring something to keep things cold in the room -

I am sure we will get an answer to this

I doubt you would want to carry a suitcase full of cans of soda or beer....that could get messy should one pop a leak.

I always bring (4 times already) our 18 can collapsible cooler. I pack it flat in the suitcase and then fill it with ice once in my room (room steward will bring you ice). If you let them know you want it kept filled all week they will do this for you.

We ususally purchase some beverages in Cocoa Beach before the cruise (we usually get in the day before).

Don't forget there is a beverage cooler in every room already. It does not get ice cold, but it does chill down drinks in about 12 hours or overnight. Then they will stay cold.

You cannot bring hard sided cooler onboard.

The cooler would fit in a medium size rolling suitcase filled with cans (I hope it will because that's what I plan on doing). I can't find my tape measure but I would estimate it being 2' x 4" folded. The fold rather flat, I would say no more than 3" deep. They came in black, purple and I think blue and unfortunately have a very large Sam's logo on them. They are very sturdy and I think they are perfect for what we would need.

The collapsible cooler we have I purchased at Wal-mart. I don't recall the price, but it was cheaper than $15. It holds at least 24 cans with ice. It folds up nicely, and doesn't take up that much space in a suitcase. I am planning on packing it for our cruise to keep things cold in the room.

I bought one yesterday that holds 18 cans but only when it is open, sort of strange. I don't think it will hold that much once I zip it closed because it bends in so, here is a stupid question.........with there being no top will all my ice melt faster? I thought if anything it would be perfect to bring to the beach or the hotel pool after the cruise. I'm going to try to get to Sams today to look at theirs.

The reason I said I would be bringing the beer and soda on in a suitcase was because it is a rolling one on wheels, similar to the coolers on wheels. We are flying down and figured we would purchace all the drinks in Cocoa Beach and put them in that suitcase and just wheel it on. I thought our cans would be safer if we just brought them on ourselves. Am I wrong or should I check that suitcase in?

All these little things are starting to boggle my mind again  Thanks for any help!

Wow! Was I wrong. I can fit 22 cans in the cooler, zipped! Very deceiving. Ok.....there was no ice and I was really pushing it since it says it holds 18 but it actually says Holds18+ :smooth:

It doesn't have that typical cover top that is square, both sides bend in towards the middle so you can zip it. Which is nice so you can carry it. I'm thinking now, the beer needs to stay cold so if we end up not having enough space the kids can always just use ice in their cups, right?

Soda is much better tasting on ice than beer is, wouldn't you say?
