I have never been to WDW, and was wondering if there is any prohibition against bringing alcohol into the park. Would my automobile be inspected? Please advise thank you.

Your car won't be inspected but all bags and coolers are suppose to be inspected before entering any park turnstyle. :wizard:

As the PP stated, your car won't be inspected, but I believe coolers & alcohol from outside the parks are prohibited. All parks, except MK, do sell alcoholic beverages.

Yep, outside alcohol is prohibited in the parks, and you're also prohibited from leaving the parks with an open container. I've been stopped leaving Epcot through the International Gateway. Even though I was just walking to the boardwalk, I wasn't allowed to leave with a beer in hand.

You can bring your own alcohol to the resort. However, you cant bring alcohol into the parks. No glass containers are allowed into the parks either. You also can't take anything on wheels to be pulled behind you into the parks. i.e. no wheeled backpacks, no wheeled coolers, no carts, no wagons...you get the idea (this is a safety issue).

That being said, with the exception of the MK, all the parks have some fabulous alcoholic selections available for sale. There is a wonderful thread on the DIS boards with great pictures of alcohol available at the parks and resorts!

If you must have something to drink while visit the MK, consider exiting the park and visiting one of the monorail resorts ... they all have restaurants/bars and would be easy to get to during the day.

Only small-sized coolers with no wheels allowed - absolutely no glass (baby food jars are only exception) and no alcohol permitted at any of the parks.

As other have mentioned, no, you can't bring alcohol into the parks.

MK is the only park that doesn't serve alcohol. But there are some nice lounges in the monorail resorts, which are easily accessible.

The other parks do serve alcohol. DHS (formerly MGM) and EPCOT are also easily accessible to three WDW resorts, plus the Swan & Dolphin--just for a bit of variety! :)
