Cool Take Homes....like popcorn containers, etc.??

I love to collect the glow cubes. Its my touch of Disney at home!

What do you do with those souvenir buckets, mugs etc. when you purchase them at a park ... do you carry them around the park with you the rest of the day? That's what puts me off from ever buying them.

When we were at Disney in Sept. I got carried away again with the pop corn buckets and brought home three! I got the Dumbo and was a little disappointed because the inside was smaller than the regular buckets so that meant less pop corn and it got stuck in parts. The ears do come out but you have to be careful as they will break if not taken out carefully. I am looking forward to our trip back in Feb. to see what new buckets and mugs will be waiting!

Can the glow cubes be had at the poly, at AK or Mk?

We've gotten the glow cubes in alcoholic drinks--Glowtini and Magical Star are a couple I remember the names of--they're in the drink book that's common to all the sit down restaurants everywhere at Disney...except Magic Kingdom park which only serves beer/wine at Be Our Guest Restaurant.

Kids have gotten the Tinker Bell and Buzz Lightyear punch before which has a clip-on glowing Tinker Bell or Buzz Lightyear.

We bring our clip-ons and some glow cubes with us for each Disney trip--turn on the clip-on's at night and it's easier to find the kids and to keep other people from walking into us. I turn the glow cubes on when we're sitting on the pavement waiting for the fireworks to start. Back when we had a stroller I'd put a couple lit glow cubes on the stroller as we were leaving the parks so we'd be more visible.

Are the dumbo popcorn buckets still available? They are so cute.

I usually either buy the maintainer at the end of the day or I get it on a day when I have locker. The premium buckets tend to hold more popcorn, but if you don't want to deal with the mess, you can usually ask for the popcorn in the regular cardboard container. You'll get less (for the most part), but then the buckets stay cleaner. For Dumbo, the CM asked if I wanted the ears in or not...I opted for not because it was easier to pack that way. It wasn't as cute looking as I carried it around, but it traveled fine and I didn't have to worry about breakage during transit home.

I'm ashamed to say that in 40 years of WDW trips, I have never once ate popcorn there. :-(

It amazes me how many things I am just completely clueless about. I never knew a thing of these souvenir buckets.

On my next trip, I plan to score some of these! Thanks to all who post about the little things. It keeps WDW full of new experiences even for old timers.

I got the popcorn just for dumbo this year. I didn't think it was good, so you aren't missing out. The containers are cute though so they're that...

Glad I'm not the only one who thought this. I got popcorn at the Halloween party and I ended up throwing it away it just didn't taste good.
