Last time we were at DHS, I got the coolest R2-D2 plastic container that had a meal in it at Pizza Planet. Recently, I have seen a great Dumbo Popcorn container available in MK and a neat Phineas/Ferb/Perry lunchbox in Epcot.

Are there any other items like this that you have heard of?

Thanks!

I'm ashamed to say that in 40 years of WDW trips, I have never once ate popcorn there. :-(

It amazes me how many things I am just completely clueless about. I never knew a thing of these souvenir buckets.

On my next trip, I plan to score some of these! Thanks to all who post about the little things. It keeps WDW full of new experiences even for old timers.

Disney has lots of different popcorn containers and other souvenir items. In March, each park had its own bucket (except DHS).

Magic Kingdom: Mickey and friends are in the marching band.

Magic Kingdom: They also have the Jack Skellington Coffin popcorn bucket at the stand in Liberty Square. (This photo is from Disneyland where it's used a meal container, but it's the same bucket.)

Epcot: Mickey and friends are watching Illuminations.

AK: Mickey and Minnie are on a safari and Donald's nephews are riding Kali River Rapids.

DHS: Clear bucket with Hollywood Directory Mickey (only available at the kiosk at the entrance to the Extreme Stunt Show). Otherwise, the other popcorn carts all had the R2D2 bucket. The popcorn bucket is larger than the meal container. The look is the same.

DTD: Lots of the attractions from the MK. I think this one might have been at MK previously, but I didn't see in March (I found it at DTD).

Holidays: During Halloween and Christmas there have been holiday themed specialty popcorn buckets. In previous years they had a Snowman Mickey bucket, but last year's was a Santa Mickey.

The Halloween bucket has been Ghost Mickey (for several years).

It's not a popcorn bucket, but DHS' Starring Rolls also has a pirate chest with cupcake.

Finally, if you ever happen to get over to Disneyland, they have a really cute Lightning McQueen popcorn/meal bucket. He's normally red, but they also had a special blue one for the holiday season.

My daughter and I are trying to figure out how to fit 2 of those Dumbo popcorn buckets into our luggage to bring home from our next trip! :lmao: We have a snowman Mickey one sitting here from 2 years ago. I should know those things never get used for anything ever again..... but I still must have Dumbo! :lmao:

My son got a Glacier (frozen drink) at Goofy's Candy Company in a souvenier cup. This cup looks like of link a dumbell, with an accordion-like straw. He does use it - often. And all I can say is that I have it! That cup is the hardest thing to clean. :rotfl2: I tell him that he must wash it if he uses it, but I find it in the sink dirty late at night, far too often. One of these nights I'll toss it in the trash instead of washing it. :cool2:

They take up a lot of space in luggage (lesson learned on that one) so we don't buy them anymore. Only the paper, throw away containers for us. :)

OOOOOOOOOOHHHHH!! Dumbo, you will be mine! Thank goodness for Disney rewards dollars.... my extra rewards dollars are all going towards fun silly stuff like the goblets at BOG, the steins at Gaston's and the Dumbo popcorn container....and apparently anything else that shows up on this thread! But the way I look at it, it's free money anyway, so that's always a good thing! pixiedust: I have to say, the Ghost Mickey popcorn holder was the best.... I'm still kicking myself for not getting it when we were at MNSSHP! Oh well!

Katie and I already discussed it. The Dumbo containers are coming home with us. Even if we have to ditch everything else. ;) Priorities you know! :rotfl: (One is for us, one for her girlfriend having surgery soon.)

Or maybe you'll bring one home in your luggage for me? :teeth:

We bought our Snowman Mickey bucket on our very last morning in the parks on one trip. We carried it along with us through the park, then back to the resort, then on the ME, then onto the plane, eating little bits of popcorn until it was finally all gone. When the popcorn was gone, we knew the trip was finally over.

I could, but didn't I just say I won't have room? :rolleyes1:lmao:

I love Disney popcorn! Maybe it's just the atmosphere, but it has the best flavor of any popcorn I've eaten. It reminds me of the way movie theater popcorn used to taste. I'm just glad Disney snacks have no calories!:thumbsup2

We got a Toy Story Mania themed popcorn bucket at HS in Feb 2011- we still have it somewhere.

We usually get a popcorn bucket on every trip, and we have quite a collection. However I always am looking for new ones.
I justify buying them because we use them for puff corn, popcorn, and I keep one in the fridge with washed grapes (which makes an easier choice for a healthy snack for the kids).
See, if you can say you can actually USE them, then your husband CAN'T complain!!
Any other creative uses?? We've also used them to hold those craft circles that you make into shapes, and then melt with an iron.
