Cool - Lighted Golf Cart Parade!!!

Unfortunately I missed most of it before we realized it was happening, but there was a really neat parade of decorated carts through the campground Saturday night - complete with music!!!!! Does anyone know if this is something that happens regularly? Is it scheduled or impromptu? Guessing there won't be another one before leaving Saturday morning, but hope its something others will have the opportunity to enjoy!!!!!

Got the scoop from a CM on last Saturday night's lighted golf cart parade. It was definitely unofficial.

A group had rented 44 cabins and had a golf cart decorating contest, after which they decided to share it with everyone. By the time they got rolling there were 58 golf carts, and security stepped in to try to at least control traffic and keep everyone safe.

Comment was something to the effect that they certainly want to encourage people to have a good time and get into the holiday spirit, but sounds like the group got a bit out of control at one point. So, he said it was likely a one-time occurrence - at least on that scale.

But to be honest, now that I know how big it was, I'm definitely sorry I missed most of it - according to a neighbor it was pretty impressive!

I saw an unofficial GC parade last year, but the official one will be around Christmas Eve in the late afternoon.

For those of you that add lights to your golf cart, where do you purchase & what type do you use? I have heard that there solar powered versus battery operated lights for the golf carts.

I get solar lights or battery operated ones. The solar ones are about $20 at Target. I bring duck tape for attaching them.
