My kids tell me I "have" to share this. A really cool cheap souvenir they just love are these paper 3-D glasses that when you look through them at any lights, the letters "USA" surround the lights. It is hard to describe, but pretty darn cheap at $2.50...and the kids just loved them! We got them at the gift shop when you exit "Hall of Presidents." I imagine they would be really cool during Spectromagic or the Osborne Lights, too.

I saw these and thought that they were cool too. Any lights viewed through these glasses will superimpose "USA" around the lights. Neat-O!

Just wanted to chime in on this thread. At DTD there is now an "EVERYTHING UNDER $10 store. We visited this past Monday. They really have alot to choose from for kids on a budget. We saw autograph books, Disney Beanie Babies, all kinds of toys, hair accessories, you name it, and if it was under $10 it was there. It is located between Pooh Corner and the Home Store, where the Garden shop used to be. It will definitely help kids shopping, as they won't have to see the $100 thing that you KNOW they aren't getting!

My sister had a pair of these she bought one Christmas. Neat little trick you can use them for, if you put the lights on your Christmas tree yourself: Turn on your tree and then put these glasses on - it really makes the lights stand out & helps you figure out if you've got any areas on your tree that need more lights, have too many lights, etc.

You may think this is weird but....we always stay at the ASmo and when I needed to bring home something for my 3yo nephew and 2yo niece who really do have everything, I picked up the plastic silverware and plate, cup, and bowl from the food court, along with some WDW napkins. Would you believe it's 6 months later and my nephew still gets his "Mickey" purple knife to cut his food with? I tell you, it's the little things that count the most.
Both he and my niece think they came from Mickey's house, so they are careful to keep them..the plate, bowl, and napkins only lasted so long, but the colored silverware was (and still is) a HUGE hit.

So true...what a great idea with the silverware! I'm finding it IS the little things that really do count. My next goal is to do a real 'simple' trip.

If I remember correctly, they gave us glasses similar to that at the Osborne lights. They had a Mickey or angel or something like that instead of USA around the lights though.

Oh! I'd heard about some kind of glasses they used to give for the Osborne lights, but didn't really understand. That would be so cool!

At the Osborne lights, they said that if you tilt your head from side to side, it looked like the images were dancing. We brought ours home after our trip in December and kept them through X-mas and they disappeared after that. My mom and I were just talkin about those a couple weeks ago while we were settin up our tree.

thanks for the tip! i'll be taking my 1st trip in july and i have a lot of people to bring gifts back for! this will be great!!!
