We just ordered tix for MNSSHP and are excited for our trip. I have been trying to think of clever Halloween costumes for our family, that will also be cool and easy to wear.

So far I have come up with:

* let the kids wear favorite character t-shirts or short sleeved pj pals w/corresponding headwear

* white t-shirts w/dalmation spots, collars and ears

I have also been perusing the family fun site for inspiration:

What are your ideas and clever schemes for cool, comfortable costumes that will allow riding rides w/ease?????

Last August we were there for PPP. The girls all had solid color sundresses that we did iron decals of princesses (Belle - yellow sundress, Cinderella - blue sundress, Aurora - pink sundress) and added a tiara. For DS I bought a pair of black pants at Salvation Army and cut them off right below the knee all ragged. Did the same thing with a white t-shirt and added a red sash. It really wasn't any different than wearing shorts and a t-shirt. I bought him a sword and tied a red bandana around his head and he was all set! Everyone was cool (or as cool as they could be in August) and comfortable.

oh I am so subscribing to this thread. we will be their Sept. 23 for MNSSHP it will be me,DH. DD #1 5 and DD #2 11 months. I am in search of ideas as well

My kids decided they want to be the Super Slueths! So for costumes I have to Tigger for DS4, Pooh for DD2 (ok, she didn't decide...she got defaulted into it by her siblings!)
And DD5 wants to be Darby. So all I have to find is a purple tank top and a baseball cap!

We went two years in a row and here's what my boys wore:

They were pirates! We just took an old pair of jeans and cut them up (bascially sliced the bottom into fringes), then put a bandana on his head and had hi wear a pirate shirt. It was a great costume for perusing the park! He looked great.

It was 89 degrees on day, so I'm glad he had something comfortable on! :goodvibes

Here is what we did and it was very cool and comfortable! We got ton's of compliments on our shirts as well. I got the idea here on the DIS and we had so much fun making our own shirts before the trip.

Oh, thanks for the ideas...keep them coming!! I have DS7, DS 6 and DD5...and they all want to do their own thing. DS7 is thinking about wearing an evil Doris hat from Meet the Robinsons...but both DS's keep coming back to being the headless horseman! I told them there already is one!! DD wants to be Minnie Mouse. I would love to be the hitchhiking ghosts from Haunted Mansionn or maybe elevator operators from Tower of Terror, but those costumes sound hot! I also don't want to wear face make up.
