Cooking with kids at GF

I seem to recall seeing a show on TV about the GF (?) where the kids can go to the kitchen and cook with the chef or something. Does anyone know anything about this?

Our girls did the cooking class 2 years ago. What they did was meet in the Mouseketeer club. Then basically they learned how to cook and made Cookies. Then they walked into the lobby of the GF and passed out the cookies to people int he lobby. It was a very fun experience and they were very excited that people would want one of the cookies they made. Hope that helps a bit.

Does anyone know what ages this is targeted to? DD will be 10 and doesn't want to do it if it's geared to 5-6 yr olds.

DD went when she was about 8. She loved it. There were girls and boys and kids of all ages. They all had a great time. We still have the chef hat and apron she decorated. They made cookies and they were so good! They come out to the front of the GF Cafe and hand out the cookies to everyone.

My girls have done this a couple times and it was their favorite kids' activity. They don't really cook - my girls made strawberry shortcakes twice and another easy put together item that I can't remember! It was lots of fun for them. I think my older daughter was 9.5 this time and I think the age max is 10.

Make sure you make reservations for this as soon as possible because the space is VERY limited and it books up fast.
