We will be at the Fort, Feb 24-March 2nd and will be tent camping. We are experienced with camping but this will be our first trip to the Fort. I would like to keep our spending down and was thinking we could eat meals at the tent. Anybody have experience with leaving a crockpot simmering outside all day. Do you see any issues with that? I have an Instant Pot and could cook meals quick but I think I might prefer to dump it in the crockpot before we leave and have it ready when we come back in the evening.

I'm figuring sandwiches for lunch and I'll cook breakfast like I normally do when we camp.

Feel free to share any ideas you have for feeding my crew!!

It just depends on the wildlife in your area. I would instant pot it and know i had a meal coming. Squirrels, raccoons, and other creatures there are very cunning and intelligent.
