Anyone have any hilarious disastrous cooking stories?

 One time I was making popcorn.(note: I have had popcorn making issues in the past). And I put it in not long enough soooooo, I put the extra kernels in a bowl and decide to put some aluminum foil over it.

(note: I had no idea you couldnt put aluminum foil in a microwave) soooo I put it in a realize that you cant put that kinda bowl in a microwave! Sooooo I decided to wrap the kernels into the aluminum foil and start the microwave. Next I see a giant spark go across my microwave.

So I stopped the microwave grabbed a pair of tongs and ran outside with the aluminum foil and threw them in the garbage.(note: no one was home to help me make popcorn) So next my friend comes over and says Why does something smell burnt ?

Sooo I freak out and say Oh my gosh, my mom's going to yell at me cause it smells. sooooo the genius I am throws a box of cookies in the microwave to make it smell better. I know shocker it didnt work.

:teeth:

So anywho Have any funny cooking stories ?

You've heard the salt instead of sugar story before. I've done that many times.
I ALWAYS burn chocolate when I want to melt it and it makes the house smell so bad.
Once, I was making potato salad and I was struggling to open the capers jar. When I finally opened it, I jumped back and they spilled all over me. :teeth:

I was once making scrambbled eggs and..lets just say i forgot to add butter or milk in them...and i forgot about using that little forky thingy to stir them around and put the stove on "high" XD

Yeah my mom wasnt too happy about that one...

and one time i decided "Hey what if i put MNMs in the microwave!? MMMM YUM!" so i did and not only did they burn and smell bad but when i tried eating one it exploded in my mouth and i cried because i burnt myself

and one time we were making chili and i said "OOO yum!" and my mom said "Dont touch very hot" and i put my hand out to touch the pot and i burnt both my hands

Yeah XD
I am the master of cooking mistakes

and the funny part is..

Im going to grow up as a bakery chef (wedding cakes, cookies etc)

XD Honestly!

I am a horrible cook.

I have:

Poured about an entire cup of vanilla extract in the bowl by accident.

Made cookies that didn't have bottoms to them, so they fell apart.

Decided it would be a good idea to mix peanut butter cookies (like the dough) with beaters. BAD IDEA. The peanut butter is so thick that it gets all stuck in the beaters and it takes forever to get it out.

Put like two tablespoons of dill weed in my dill dip, thus there being too much.

:rotfl:

Last summer,my friend and I were making popcorn and my family was in the living room watching some important wrestling match. I put the popcorn in for 4 minutes like the bag said and told my friend to watch the microwave. I turn around after 3 or so minutes and see SMOKE coming from the microwave and it smelled so bad.

All of my cats and family had to rush outside and they missed the important wrestling match. (Earlier they were like don't make us miss it,blah blah blah)

Ended up burning our popcorn and breaking our microwave.

Plus I've made Mickey Mouse shaped cakes(small ones) and they broke. Other then that, just little cooking mistakes :p

When I was babysitting, the kids asked me to make kettle corn, and I had never made that before.
But the instructions said "4-8 minutes"

....So I put it in for 8 minutes.
And the fire alarms went off.
And the house filled up with smoke.
And I had to open all the windows (in the dead of winter) so we could breathe.
And the kids were freezing, so I had to put them in full on snow gear.
And then they STILL wanted me to make them more kettle corn!!

Then the mom came home and she was like, "WAS THERE A FIRE?!?"
I was like.... "No..just a little kettle corn mishap."
I had to explain the whole thing to her, and she was just like "Oh...try not to do that again."
Even when I stick to microwave meals I mess them up :P

Ah...lets just say you dont want to taste my pasta...when I'm done making it, it's as hard as a rock..

yah, my friend and i were at her house, and no one was home execept us. So i put in a little bag, and i pressed the popcorn button. Well, about 2 or 3 min later, it started smoking. EVERYWHERE!! we got towels and whipped them in the air to try to clear out the smoke, but the only place the smoke was in our lungs! funny times though :]

:rotfl: Jamie.
That did look awfully disgusting.

...
I left a fork in a bowl and microwaved it. o.o
Luckily I realized it before the microwave exploded or something.
I always burn popcorn and chocolate.

Capri Sun+Microwave= IN HOUSE LIGHTNIGHT STORMM :D

My best friend Maddie and I tried to bake cookies for the 4th of July last year. Let's just say it didn't turn out right. We forgot to put something in the cookies. It was sooo funny watching everyone try them. We didn't eat them before we served them so we didn't know what they were like either.

I've put many marshmellows on fire xD

Once i tried making french toast..and filled the pan with milk and butter, and cinamon, then put the bread in..xD
it was not french toast

When I was younger I put a tic tac container in the microwave. xD Mom never let me get close to the microwave since then.

Oh and I also make a bag of popcorn explode in the microwave. Oh and I accidently made the microwave explode once. it involved a chocolate bar, graham cracker, and marshmallows. Didn't end well.

Oh and never let me make pasta with Tate EVER again. We used some colorful words that day.:rolleyes1
