Ooooooooo - lucky you - having all those fresh blueberries!

Yes - you can cook with them frozen - just give them a quick rinse under the faucet.. :)

I agree, lucky you.. My kids love them right out of the freezer...

Do you think maybe you need to increase cooking time a couple of minutes? Maybe, just start checking them with a toothpick when they start to look done. It's been a long time since I was blessed with fresh frozen bb's, but logic tells me that maybe it will take a little longer to cook muffins..?

Perhaps you can make muffins with the blueberries frozen, but I know you can't make a pie. I tried once and it was so runny from the extra water, I had to throw it away. Are you making the famous east coast Jordan Marsh blueberry muffins?

I use frozen blueberries in all kinds of things, but it does add cooking/baking time - if you don't let them defrost a good bit first.

The last time I did muffins, I let the berries defrost in a colander sitting over a bowl. (I rinsed the ice crystals off first.) Then I used the liquid I'd collected to fill out the cup of milk it called for. They turned out nice & blue! :teeth:
