Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich?

I have seen pictures of a cookie ice cream sandwich that apparently comes from MK. You pick your cookie and ice cream and they make it for you there. I must have one. Can anyone tell me about this, where I can get one, and is it a snack credit on the DDP?

It's at the Main Street Bakery and it is a snack credit, at least that is what people say. I have never gotten one, but plan to get one in May!

Main Street Bakery in MK and it's very good.

I've heard they also have them at Sleepy Hollow Desserts in MK and Dino Bites at AK, but I don't know that for sure.

The Main Street Bakery will let you choose the type of cookie. The other locations only have chocolate chip cookies, again, based on what I've heard.

It's HUGE! I had one in 2008. I picked two oatmeal raisin cookies. The guy set one on a plate and then put what? - three scoops of ice cream? He then set the other cookie on top, put a plate on top of that and then smashed it together to create this:

It is very good but it is very filling. I don't ever do the DDP anymore so I don't know if it counts as a snack credit.

Last time we braved one it was still a snack credit item.

I'd advise most folks to NOT try and eat one by themselves... omgoodness, talk about overload!

Last time I was there with my mom, she wouldn't believe me that it was that big and insisted on ordering two.

It took her ten minutes to give the other one away on the street outside. (It was packaged in a plastic to-go box).
There was no way we were going to eat any of it.

Dino bites in AK had them in December but they weren't marked as a DDP snack (over $4)

They are my absolute favorite Disney treat! My family orders one and splits it five ways, and it's still too big for us to finish! That thing is gigantic and wonderful. I look forward each trip to settling into a little table at the Main Street Bakery and digging into two fresh and warm chocolate chip cookies and cold, creamy vanilla ice cream.

Definitely make sure you have help. I love good ice cream and cookies. Last month, we were on the way out of the MK late night after Wishes and Spectro. I told DW to go ahead with the kids (we were staying at BLT), I would wait in line at the bakery to get them cinnamon roll to take back to the room for breakfast the next morning like we had several times during the week. While I was in line, I decided I had to try one of the ice cream cookie sandwiches. Two huge chocolate chip cookies and 3 scoops of ice cream. It was a snack credit, but would still be one of the better snack values at $4 if paying cash. I took it to the tables past the Plaza facing the castle and attempted to conquer it. In the end, it was more about 1/3rd more than I could force myself to eat.

They are absolutely FABULOUS and very non-fat!

Seriously, if they are one snack credit, that is a terrific deal. And, even if they are not, they are just too good to pass up. If it is a super hot day, stay inside to eat it. It can be one gooey delicious totally enjoyable messy treat!

These things are awesome!!! The ones from the Bakery you can choose your cookie and ice cream (i think). They are BIG...bigger then the ones at Sleepy hollow...there they are just choc. chip cookies with vanilla ice cream that is a square cut of ice cream, not 3 scoops. However, saying that I can finish one from Sleepy hollow myself, but not the ones from the Bakery.

Just FYI, everything from the bakery is awesome...try the huge cinnamon rolls!!!

Oh I am sooo looking forward to getting my first one in a couple weeks. I keep trying to convince DH that we should split one (even showed him pictures) but he is insisting on getting one for himself.

I guess we're light eaters! It always works out somehow, probably because we eat so much ice cream and dessert at Disney that the idea of scarfing one of these sandwiches seems too gluttonous! After we finish, we know we'll be sitting down to dinner in just a few hours, which means another delectable treat!

We got this at the foodcourt when we stayed at the Music resort last year. The guy let us pick our own stuff and it was HUGE! I remember sitting with my teeth chattering trying to force it all down, and it was 4o outside. I look forward to eating one this weekend when we go back!
