I apologize if I have missed this anywhere already, but was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on Cookes of Dublin? Thinking of going for our trip in April but have never heard about it and happened to stumble across something where I read about it. TIA!

I've eaten there and it's very good. It's more or less quick service for Raglan Road. You order your food at the counter, and they have tables outside next to the bar or you can sit at the bar and eat. I had fish & chips.

We love Cookes of Dublin! I think we ate there 4 times on our trip in January. That may or may not have something to do with the fact that I am now officially "pooh sized"!! I seriously spend all year thinking about their deep fried scallops and chips!

I just posted to another thread about how bad fried foods are for me.

Cooke's of Dublin is the one place that reallllllly makes me break that "diet!"

The fish and chips there are very, very good. (Better than that which is served in Ragland Road's restaurant proper).

If you like fried things, and those luscious little pies (savory, not sweet) then this is a good place to have a treat! ::yes::

The meat is good but the batter is the same on the meat, french fries and dessert. So, it gets to be too much of the same taste. I love fried food but both DH and I were ill after eating there.

They have a good chicken and mushroom pie. I also love their fish and chips. This is a great CS on the dining plan.

I ate at Cooks last year well I took it to go it was our last day at WDW and I ate it in the car so I wouldnt have to stop again, It was fresh cooked to order and it was pretty good!

I love Cookes! The fried shrimp are my favorite-- huge and really fresh! My husband likes the meat pies.

We really liked the chips here. We got some as we were walking from one side of DTD to the other. And then stopped again to buy more on the way back.

It is fantastic! I've posted pictures somewhere.... I'll see if I can find them. :goodvibes

Too much grease for me, so you won't find us in Cookes. I guess if you like deep-fried food it would be worth a try.
