We loved them! The kids portion was same size as adult and less money. I may order all kids sizes next time. The batter was good and chips and crisps really good w/vinegar. Ooh now I wish we had one near by!

We made an ADR at Raglan road and plan to have Cookes fish n chips and then go into Raglan for dessert and entertainment.

Save room for dessert at Cookes. The fried candy bar is an good as it gets.

We ate there in May and the food was good (agree about the fried candy bar) but we had to take it outside and sit on a bench and eat it...the place REEKED like dirty sweatsocks. It was awful. The outside eating area was packed and we couldn't find a seat there; there was no one inside.

When hubby and I went to WDW last year, we walked by Cooke's and I could have sworn it said Cookies. It wasn't until the day we actually dined at Raglan Road that I realized it actually said Cooke's. I was somewhat disappointed. I really wanted some cookies.

It was kinda like a Snikers bar battered & deep fried & stuck on a stick like a corndog. Very Rich!!

The best thing about their fish is there is lots of fish. Ie. Not batter with a little fish. Good amount of fish. Yeah! Delicious.

I had the most hysterical service there is December. Just remember it is not owned by Disney and on that day it showed. First, she had to yell to find the cook. It took awhile to find him. Then I put my order in.

Five more people came in and unfortunately for three of them they ordered the pot pie. The CM pretty well lectured them in a tone, "it take 15 minutes you know. Ya still wan it?" Sounds like just giving pertinent info. But trust me you had to be there....very aggressive. Some she scared off. Literally. Some asked more questions....unfortunately for them.

"what is it?", asked a customer.

"IT'S A PIE!!!!!!!". Once again it "takes 15 minutes" speech even though she already told them. Ya wan it? They simply walked out.

She couldn't get my room key to work and that's all I had (it was their system that had the problem). So she radios someone. Mumbles some words over and over. She gives up. And then says "Forget it. I'm giving you your entire order for free!!"

She was the kind of CM where she was so rude but you could tell she had no idea how she came off. Not a clue. Not to mention she was hysterical. Interesting memory. Great fish.

That's the Malt Vinegar!!! What a gross smell it leaves all around the room.
I work in a restaurant that serves fish & chips and I cringe when someone requests the Malt Vinegar!

We did the same thing as a previous poster...ate the Fish and Chips at Cooke's and then went to RR for dessert, drinks and entertainment. It is the same fish, same portion as RR, but MUCHO cheaper (8.95 vs. 15.95).

Malt Vinegar...Yuummmmyyy...it isn't fish and chips w/o the MV!! LOL

Also, someone asked about location...it is next to RR. They even share a patio.

I saw a picture of a fried candy bar on another thread and now I HAVE TO GO TO COOKE'S. People think I'm crazy for wanting a fried candy bar.

I can't wait to try it. Glad to hear that it's yummy!

We really like the restaurant! I don't eat a lot of batter dipped anything (too many calories), but will eat a chicken finger when my husband gets them.

The candy bars look great, I may try one sometime!
